When can I go there????
This is one of the cutest, intelligently humorous books I have ever read! It is a series of small storries written by the brothers and their guests. The stories are mostly pretty funny and I found myself laughing out loud. I can't guarantee that all readers will laugh as we all have our own funny bone but I LAUGHED.It's not my style to write reviews that are book reports. I prefer to keep the review simple with a few facts (so as to keep the book a surprise) and my opinion if it's worth the read. With that in mind, I will say that this book is worth the read.I enjoyed the writing style, the humor and found myself savoring the book; stalling my reading it in order to make it last longer.Buy it! I think you'll want to read it again and loan to your friends.

When I die and go to heaven. . .
I think heaven might be a little like this: a beautiful, cozy bed and breakfast, in a rural, peaceful setting, where the owners are two delightful, quirky, book and animal lovers, whose labor of love is a retreat for people who also love natural beauty, good books of every kind, and their pets. Reading this book is like a mini retreat in itself. Every page brings something to smile about or to reflect upon in the gentlest way. In this bed and breakfast the food is good, solitude is encouraged, yet good company is never far away. I refuse to believe this place is fictional, but then again, I keep looking for Middle Earth around every corner. This is a great gift book, sure to bring many smiles of pleasure to the bibliophiles in your life.

Make a Reservation to the Bachelor Brother's Bed & Breakfast
You'll be glad you checked into the Bachelor Brother's Bed & Breakfast. What a delightful read! The twins Hector & Virgil alternate chapters telling tidbits of information and charming stories about their lives, their b&b and people they have met along the way. Thrown in are entries from guests of the B&B. There are many laugh out loud moments. The pictures painted are cozy, light hearted and humorous. Reading it is like curling up into a warm quilt and spoiling yourself with a mug of hot cocoa. I can't wait to read more from this author.

MORE. MORE. MORE.
Delightful tales from a Canadian B & B. Sadly, there are only three books in the series.

Just the thing to add a laugh to your day
This book was given to me at the beginning of a lengthy visit with family. I was very busy and had time for a few pages each night before retiring. The portraits of interesting characters and life at the B&B were perfect for sending one off to sleep in a good mood.I will keep this and no doubt read it again, because there is no plot to spoil. However, I have suggested to others that the book, if read all of a sitting or two, can wear on one because the style of humor becomes predictable. Never-the-less it will remain a favorite.

Whimsical, quirky, marvelous!
Bill Richardson 's description of two brothers who operate a bed and breakfast that caters to travellers in search of a retreat specifically for the purpose of reading will delight you. The guests are encouraged to write stories about their experiences, and these become chapters in the book. Small town living is both celebrated and satirized. When you need a day to literally laugh out loud as you read, pick this book.

Charming
Pretty darn charming - I thought it was gonna be fluff. If you're a fan of Prairie Home Companion-like storytelling, you'll like this.

Funny but lacking
You are asking me how I would describe the plot of this book. It had no plot. It was whimsical and an enjoyable collection of short stories. In fact the one thing that would have made it more enjoyable is if the author would have found a way to weave a plot into the vignettes. .

A pleasure to read
I originally borrowed this book from an American cousin and was so taken with it that I then bought it for four of my friends. It is a quick read but an absolute delight.

Five stars for humor!
If you love to read, don't miss this book. A beautifully written story about two quirky brothers who run a B&B on a small island. Guests come prepared to take care of themselves and with "that book" they never found the time to read. An odd assortment of neighbors and pets complete the household. Offbeat humour will have you laughing out loud in many places. Oh how I hope this place really exists -- I want to go there!

Lovely read
As a voracious reader I loved this book about book-loving operators of a bed and breakfast inn on a remote part of an island off Vancouver. Appreciated the lists of books described in the context of the story. Always enjoy Canadian reads.

He really enjoyed it and I'm waiting for him to get home ...
I bought this for a friend. He really enjoyed it and I'm waiting for him to get home so I can read it as well. The few minutes I spent looking it over when it arrived really piqued my interest. Shipping time was reasonable, considering it was the holiday season.
