Update (2/16/16): So, it's been like 5 months and all these bowls have lasted. They are perfect, after countless dishwasher cycles. Still highly recommended.Original Review: These bowls are priced right, and they are very useful if you are a serious chef who handles several ingredients for your dish. After reading reviews here, I was concerned about the durability of these bowls, but they have been durable for me thus far. They have gone through several cycles of dish washer, and they are still intact. However, the bowls do not feel sturdy, and I wouldn't be shocked if they shatter. But at this price, I would just buy another set without batting an eye. I am very content with this purchase.When the product was received (I bought 2 sets), one was fine and the other set was cracked and shattered. Amazon told me to throw away the damaged bowls and sent me a replacement with 2-day shipping. That kind of customer service is why I shop here.

These are about a quarter cup size. They are not tiny. I like them - they was easily washed, hold a good amount of herbs, liquids, sauce etc. Perfect for prep cooking. Lay out all your ingredients first. Have them ready, then follow the recipe. Just like on tv, they pre-measure and make it look so easy. It's all in the prep and these are perfect for that. Or you can use them as individual shrimp cocktail sauce holders on the plate, I have done that too. Also perfect for other sauce dipping - like peanut sauce sauce or a serving of cole slaw.

These bowls appeared to be will made and very useful for cooking tasks. However, they arrived is a broken state due to the packing technique. I received a full refund but since they are considered an "add on" item I will not be able to order again until I have other things that need to be purchased.

These bowls are handy for holding small amounts, such as cooking ingredients. The packaging is much too flimsy and one of the four bowls was shattered in shipping.

I use these all the time for dipping sauces or prep bowls. They were a bit smaller than I expected but the size ended up being perfect for my needs.

I ordered these to use for holding product during facial services. The size is perfect, but both my initial purchase and the replacement arrived broken so I sent them back and opted to not repurchase. Would be a great option for product or for kitchen prep, but until the packaging improves, I'll have to pass.

This item is not packed very well by the shipper. All of my bowls were broken and could not even be unwrapped completely without dropping glass everywhere. The item itself is a good item. I've used these in my kitchen before and love them. They just need to be packed far better than they were. The whole stack was wrapped tightly inside of bubble wrap BUT there was nothing in between each bowl. So, on impact of any kind, the bowls would automatically crush themselves.

They're made of thick, clear glass. They're substantial.I use mine to set out pre-portioned ingredients for cooking videos. They make seasonings, etc. look attractive and the bowls also provide a good sense of scale.For those of you who aren't into filming your culinary efforts, these are still a wise investment as they allow you to plan out your cooking and have everything pre-measured so that you're ready with the accurate amounts. They come in sets of four, so I'd recommend buying a couple sets. Great functionality for very little money.
