Best brush I have ever had!!
It goes through my just above waist length, thick, wavy hair wonderfully!! I love how my Denman quickly detangles my hair and with so many bristles to separate the strands, my hair dries in no time!! Love my Denman!!The handle is a comfortable size (the previous brush I tried had a weird shaped handle and I seemed to have a knack for flinging it out of my hand while brushing, lol)I selected the 9-row Denman as I wanted enough bristles to get through my hair and wasn’t sure the 7-row would be enough (turns out the 7-row is perfect for my youngest daughter’s long, fine and slightly hair!!)This brush also fits well in my purse, making it easy to brush my hair on the go!!Have I mentioned yet how much I love this brush?!!I did a lot of research before I bought this brush. I knew I wanted a Denman, but I had no idea there were so many brushes to choose from!! Denman has the perfect brush for you, whether you have curly hair, wavy hair or spaghetti straight hair!!!

Hate the handle, LOVE the brush
My cousin initially told me about the Denman brush, and after doing some research, I decided that I'd like to make my curls pop too. I only use this brush on my hair when it's wet, using any brush or comb dry on my hair is a huge nope. That being said, I was pretty annoyed that the handle is so smooth with absolutely zero grip to it. Not paying attention to that in the pictures was on me, but who the heck would design a brush handle to have no grip, especially one for detangling, styling, or for use with wet hair? If I -just- have wet hands, it might be okay to hold, but any sort of product makes this brush a literal pain and a half to use, especially if you have unruly hair like me that instantly "tangles" after being detangled. There are other models that have slightly different handles and are made from different materials, but if I recall correctly, they were either more expensive, or didn't have the number of rows I wanted. The color of the brush wasn't something I was concerned with. The "red" looks more like a dark pink, but again, I didn't really care since it's just a brush. The black is nice and rich, and the gold accents are nice. I opted for the 9 row over the others because (if I remember correctly) one of the YouTube videos I watched said that their curls seemed more defined with it over the others, and I figured it didn't matter much since I could take out some of the rows if necessary. Which, by the way, I found out that it's really hard to do that. Maybe I'm a bit weak and afraid of destroying the brush, but I decided after a few tugs that I wasn't going to try to pull out the center to remove the rows—I'm fine with the brush as it is.As far as its actual function, I'm completely satisfied with the brush. I always detangle big knots with a comb first, then come behind it with the brush. I've found that I have less hair in the brush if I do this. It's a personal preference since, again, my hair is a 4c nightmare that shrinks and coils and snuggles up with itself. Anyway, when I use the brush, I add leave in conditioner and the wetline extreme gel, and it leaves my curls looking AMAZING! I don't look like I have a weird halfro (not a typo) and the definition makes me sooo happy. Cute wash and go's are actually possible for me now, something I never thought possible after I started my natural hair journey 10 years ago and had a less-than-perfect attempt at one of those curly hair YouTube tutorials. Sadly, I still deal with an unthinkable amount shrinkage, something which seems a bit more extreme when I use the brush.I see a lot of reviews where people possibly got fake brushes, and I did research on that as well before buying it. The brush is made to come apart... It's clearly made of different colors and plastics, so I'm not sure why anyone would assume that it's going to stay one piece, forever, even if glued. Also, on fake brushes, the logo will be in the wrong spot and the "Made in the U.K" bit will be missing or it will say something else. The one I received had all the right placings and brandings, so I either got lucky, or others aren't buying from the Denman store on Amazon, so they're getting fakes.Regardless, the brush I received works great, and looks great, but Denman definitely needs to address the handle issue.

Great quality brush. There are a couple that look similar but it doesn't compare.

Clean friendly and gets the job done
I bought this as a recommendation to get my hair trained to curl after washing. This absolutely worked and has been extremely helpful detangling hair. I have 4C hair and aside from that my hair is very very thick, so this makes my wash day much easier! Also, I was impressed by the way it comes apart, so you can clean it properly. Especially for those of you who do not. like to see hair between brushes, thus allows you to clean to get rid of it all. If there was one thing I would say is that even with this feature, it can eventually make it challenging to stay together. All in all, this is an excellent buy!

It's just a brush y'all
Alright I did purchase this brush with the hopes of it being a miracle brush like everyone claims it is. Well ding dong! 🎶 it's just a brush. I kind of don't even like it for real. Now lemme first say I am one of those people that can literally DIY anything. It always comes out good when I do too. Well I watched tutorials on how to Denman curl with this brush, and I couldn't. I have medium length hair. It's right above my breast. I also have kind of course hair, and it's wavy and curly. Yes both. Now this thing says it's for long curly and wavy hair. No it ain't. When I went to twist my hair (which I attempted for like 35 mins) my hair just got stuck. Over, and over, and over again. It's not that good at detangling for real. The only "cool" thing about it, is that you can take rows of bristles out. "WOWWW"! 🙄 Honestly, I'm Jindal of irritated I even bought it. It's expensive. You could literally get the same quality out of a 10 dollar drug store brush. Save ya money ladies!
