You will get Review: There are better programs out there! - Bought this as an alternative choice. Not happy with it's over complicated choices and find it lacking in other tools I loved from other programs. Had I the choice to not buy this producr, I would have saved my money. Review: Happy to have found it - I have been using Paint Shop Pro for years and my old CD had finally died. The Jasc company was purchased by Corel years ago and Corel changed Paint Shop Pro to a program more designed for photo editing than image creation. I don't need to create graphics often enough to justify the cost of the expensive image creation software available today. I was happy to find this software on desertcart. The Paint Shop Pro by Jasc allows the user to create, edit, even animate, original images for web, print, publishing, etc. This version also has some great photo editing tools which earlier versions of Paint Shop did not have. This program is a bit complicated to use to it's fullest capablities, but that's because this is something professional graphic artists could use. The upside is that even without using the masks, skins, and other professional features, you can create and edit both images and photographs with a little practice. Many of the tools are common with other photo and graphic software so even a beginner can use this program. As you continue to discover the capabilities of the program the value of the program and quality of the images you create will only increase. A great bargain at $50.00 used.

Somewhat clunky interface
I first have to admit that my primary reason for buying this software was for editing digital camera images, so I ignore a large part of the artistic functions offered. I wanted to replace the Photoshop LE software that came with my camera. There are many nifty features for photo editing, many of them automated, which work quite nicely when you can figure them out. There is little pop-up help, but pretty good full help screens. I don't like most of the key shortcuts used - very clunky, like shift-R to finalize a crop. If you don't have a wheel mouse, zooming is a pain using the menus only. Not for beginners who will soon be frustrated.

Program errors.
The program freezes up giving an error sign about 'running scripts' you can't get out of. You have to force the program to close. You have to delete the program and up load it again. You have to rely on other Corel buyers to help you figure out any problems because there is no one at Corel support to contact.

Old old version of Paint Shop
I got this for about $10 from one of the amazon partner sites in order to do a few templates for my second life avatar. It was a cheap alternative to Photoshop which most templates are written for. It did open the robin wood templates and after much trial and error I was able to make several tshirts that fit my avi pretty well.

I can't give a good review of the program
Probably nothing wrong with the program; more likely my computer . I can't acquire the photos from my Duo Pro Memory Stick. Ergo, I can't give a good review of the program.

Not a user-friendly piece of software
This product is very awkward to use. It's hard to manipulate images, and you usually don't get what you expect. I would not recommend it.

Excellent graphics program, despite its age
I used JASC Paint Shop Pro 4.14 for years, liked it very well. When my old computer bit the dust, I (finally) upgraded to a Windows 7 machine... and PSP 4 wouldn't even install on it, because it wasn't compatible with a 64 bit system. Doing some searching, and seeing all the comments people had made about the Corel version, I hunted around and found this. Despite its age (18 years old now), it installed on Win 7 and runs well - the only problem is that after you close the program, Windows pops up a warning stating that the program didn't run properly, which is nonsense. Having used PSP for years, it was easy for me to use this updated version, though it will take some time playing with the filters, etc. in order to get used to them. I would highly recommend this to anyone running Windows 7 or 8, and it is definitely less expensive than Adobe Photoshop, even though a lot of the features are the same.
