EZREDAdjustable Battery Cable Stripper (793CS), Factory

I became a little worried after reading the reviews after purchasing. When it arrived I pulled it out of the package and the first impression was that the blade swivels around as I adjust the height. What? This won't work, I thought. But after reading the instructions I understood why the blade swivels around. It is made to rotate freely and it will automatically follow the direction of cutting as you rotate the tool around the cable. After making a circular cut you then slide it off the end of the cable and it will slit the insulation making it easy to peel off. After a little trial and error I am stripping insulation like a pro. Great tool in my opinion.

Either tool didnt have a blade in it or it broke while trying to strip but nothing protrudes through hole even when screw is turned all the way in removed screw and theres a shinny little tapered edge but it doesn't stick out of the hole

This thing is awesome I mainly use it for 7-way cable and it will cut the covering without cutting into the wire insulation

I have been doing a lot of battery wiring lately using thick cable and bought this to speed stripping of the insulation. I used it three times and then threw it out. It is far easier to simply use a sharp knife to strip the insulation. Giving this two stars was a gift based on the fact that it does work, though poorly.

There is a screw to adjust the cutting knife's extension size. However, it does not stay put and manual movements that are necessary to rotate and strip the wire will change the setting. The spring loaded mechanism to keep the knife in place seems strong but has proven woefully inadequate.For a large project, I had to resort to using both hands and all fingers in weird positions to keep the knife in place on a correct circular motion and correct depth. Carpal Tunnel was not happy.The concept is good. Need better gripping tool and locking of the knife depth

Great for cutting though thick wires not so good at cutting audio power cable. Easy to use and cuts with ease

Blade tends to twist creating a corkscrew affect. I expected better, I have an E-Z Red cable crimper I cannot believe I lived without, but this thing is a waste of time. Went into the pile of other disappointments gather dust in some dark corner of my shop.

Works great to cut. Made several cuts on 2, 2/0 and 4/0 cable. Takes practice if you have not used these before.

Had high hopes for these battery cable strippers as alot of there other products I really like and are all at reasonable prices Including these stripper but boy was I wrong. These strippers couldn't cut through a banana if my life depended on it the blade it so thing and flimsy that the first battery cable I tried it on bent the blade to almost a 90 degree angle. Deffinatly not happy with my purchase and would not recommend for work use as I'm a heavy duty mechanic and didn't even last 10 minutes of use
