Cheap and affordable, can’t complain. Just noodles with cheese

I grew up on Kraft macaroni and cheese and from what I can tell, not much has changed. The classic is still very much the same with the bright orange and the classic Kraft cheese flavor. I personally prefer spirals but my kids all seem to like this shape better which is good as it costs less and you seem to get more in a box. I think it is possible the ingredients changed over the years to appease more health conscious buyers, but don't be fooled as this is still not a healthy meal. It is starched based with a lot of carbs. I guess the cheese offers some protein and the milk as well. This box is big enough to feed my three young kids and sometimes even have a little left over. The issue I find though is consistency. I will make it the same way but sometimes it turns out perfect, while other times it turns out sticky or mushy. The kids do not like it when it does not turn out perfect and it can be more difficult to get them to eat it then. Overall, it is fairly easy to make, but as mentioned the results are not always the same. I use a small pot and heat the water to boiling. Then I turn down the temperature to very low, add the pasta and cook an additional 8 minutes, stirring occasionally. After that, I strain out the extra water, add 2 TBSP butter (yes a bit more), and let that set so that it melts. After it is melted I add the cheese and milk and stir it up. I like the convenience. The kids like the taste, usually. I am able to use lactose free milk, which is nice as well. We will continue getting this product as long as the kids keep eating it.

It was in perfect condition. And the box was intact. At a great price.

Buying this 12-pack of mac n’ cheese was the best decision I’ve made all year. It’s like Costco-level commitment to being hungry and lazy at the same time. Each box cooks in minutes and somehow tastes like childhood, poor decisions, and pure happiness mixed together. Honestly, having twelve of these things in my pantry makes me feel powerful. Like if life falls apart, at least I have enough mac n’ cheese to rebuild myself. The cheese is creamier than my skin after a fresh lotion session, the noodles don’t get mushy, and every box hits exactly the same. If loving a 12-pack of mac n’ cheese is wrong, I don’t want to be right.

Mom often made this as a quick part of dinner (with vegetables and some sort of meat) when I was a kid. later, she'd even let me make it. Same types of quick, high calorie, junk or comfort food that's fine to eat occasionally. Or it can be used as a basis for other macaroni/cheese dishes. Rated 5 for nostalgia and occasional indulgence today.

Something wrong with this batch. The water gets cloudy when boiling the noodles and they become very slimy when cooked. The sauce tastes abnormal as well and is unusually bright in colour.
