I bought this microphone about a year and a half ago, and I’m still really impressed with it! Whether I’m recording videos for TikTok, doing voiceovers, or just using it for calls, this mic has consistently delivered clear, professional sound. The noise-cancelling feature works great, even in noisy environments. I used it at a busy coffee shop once, and my voice came through perfectly while background noise was minimized. It’s super reliable, and the sound quality is always top-notch. The 16-foot cable gives me plenty of room to move around while I record, which is a huge plus. Plus, it comes with both TRRS and TRS adapters, so I can easily switch between my phone and camera without any issues. The mic also includes 2 clips and 4 covers, which are handy for securing it and protecting the mic. For the price, this mic is a steal. I’ve used it for over a year, and it’s still in great condition.

This was my third purchase from popVoice... and they sure didn't disappoint! I had a lavaliere mic previously, but it was a lightning-connector one that could only be used with an Apple iOS product. But I really appreciated the convenience of not having to rely on the onboard mics for audio, especially if I know I'll be recording in an area with a lot of ambient noise. This lavaliere mic did NOT disappoint! It works GREAT with my 1st Gen iPad Pro. I did, however, have a slight issue with getting the mic to be recognized by my iMac. But once I realized that PoPVoice provided a solution with one of my other purchases (a USB mic adapter), the mic was up and running. Even better, I'd reached out to the company for guidance, and they answered quickly with the info I'd already figured out! The sound quality is excellent... the cable length is ideal... and the ease of use, as well as providing an adapter for PC computers (a rarity with a lot of companies) means this company really cares about giving you the best quality for the best price. I do a lot of "Self-Tape Auditions" for commercials and online training, so I do a LOT of in-home recording. Having a quality mic that's reliable is critical. I've also used PoPVoice's desktop mic to record VoiceOvers from home... so, again, I can vouch for the quality of their product. I HIGHLY recommend this mic!!!

The cord length at 16 feet is more than enough for my use case and plenty in most situations where you would want to use a wired mic. The coloured foam covers are a good ad to be less distracting on speakers. The sound quality is quite good and much better than onboard sound. On pair with a budget shotgun mic. And yes, in this post headphone jack world it does work with dongles. The convenience of being able to use it with your phone is that you can use very in depth recording apps with it. I recommend doing tests with the volume you set it too, I found from time to time it was being a bit too good and collecting unwanted background noise. Easy to tune out in the right app. I would recommend a bunch of these to have on hand for the cheap. Would and will buy again.

Comes with the mic (obviously) which has a 16’ cable, two lapel clips, five windscreens (mic covers - 2 black, 1 orange, 1 red, and 1 blue) and a three-segment adaptor (for use in laptops and computers). The mic cable has a four-segment connector for use in phones and tablets. Audio capture is excellent across all frequencies (i.e., it captures a the full range of sound from your voice) in a quiet environment and it performed extremely well in a noisy environment (next to a loud air scrubber) when it was able to clearly capture my voice with minimal noise capture (although, obviously, the background noise was still there but it didn’t overpower the vocals). I even sung into the mic and I would recommend this for singing (at a pinch) as it performed better than the standard mic-in-your-phone-headphone-cable did. My third test was outside using my phone as a recorder and dictating a few lines from a book. On the recording, I could definitely tell it was recorded outside (birds, traffic, etc.) but my voice was captured clearly. I also used this mic for some zoom calls and my colleagues reported that my sound was better when compared to using my laptop’s mic (as I usually did). Oh, and there also wasn’t any fizz or crackle when connecting the mic and the connections felt firm. Overall, it’s a pretty impressive piece of kit for $13 and would thoroughly recommend it if you’re in the market for a lavalier mic.

I bought this to use with my electronics, and the first time I used it, it worked awesome! Then I filmed a bunch of stuff with this thing and it turns out the mic had stopped working after the first use. It recorded no sound in all of the things I recorded. I am beyond angry. I even pulled the plug out a little bit since it has a tag that says not to plug it in all the way and still nothing. Dead silent. This item is garbage. The price was right, and its features but the fact it ruined a lot of work for me after only one use is unacceptable. Update: SO I managed to get it working somehow. Lots of fiddling with it. It sometimes makes my phone do weird things, so I have to reset it sometimes, but at least I got it somewhat working! Will keep updating as we go!

If your looking to buy this, I think you already know what your priorities are. That being said, for an affordable microphone this lav gives you an amazing bang for your buck. The audio quality, while not perfect, is leagues better than your in camera microphone, and with a 16ft cord you would be hard pressed to find something more convenient for run and gun documentary style shoots. The package itself comes with multiple colors of heads to blend with whatever clothing your talent is wearing. In addition it comes with an extra clip which is a life saver considering the clips can occasionally break if your talent isn't gentle with them The only real con I can think of is the microphone itself is a bit on the chunkier side. While it would be difficult to hide beneath clothing for a narrative, it wouldn't be impossible. That being said it feels more robust than some other lavs, so I wouldn't be as concerned with it getting destroyed by talent. Overall a great microphone for a run and gun shoot where you are a on man band and don't have time to worry about a wireless mic or two system recording.

Being stuck at home due to Covid, I decided to try creating a podcast/channel or something. I have my phone, now need a good mic. Seems like the Lavalier is the popular one so I read my reviews and decided on this one. Package arrived in 2 days thank you Prime! Box comes with everything including colored windscreens, a pc adapter, and an extra clip. The mic comes with it's own clip and windscreen and a 16ft cord. Don't know why so long but I think I'll need this. The instructions were detailed and easy to read. It was easy to install (plug and play). I used my Smart Recorder app and it worked like a charm. Playback sound was clear and there was no cutting. I did a short video and it was clear and didn't pick up external noises which is really good. Overall, this is a great mic and I will give an update shortly. Thanks

Although packaged with this microphone is an additional adapter that states is for use with a computer (it doesn't state *what* it is used for, just that it is to be used with desktop machines and *not* mobile), whether the adapter is used or not does not allow for simultaneous use of the microphone and the built-in laptop speakers. I have another low-cost microphone that is very similar but is powered with a small battery preamp, in addition to providing a USB adapter to split the combination port into separate in/out which *does* work with the paired microphone, but unfortunately this one does not work with that adapter at all, most likely due to the absence of the inline preamp. While the cord itself certainly isn't any shorter than the advertised length, do understand how ridiculously long 16 feet is exactly and know that you'll certainly have a mess of cable wrapped like a ball of yarn somewhere along it's length to prevent becoming a casualty yourself from the trip hazard such a length of light gage wire creates. Not at all recommended if you intend on using this with a sound card that does not have a dedicated 3.5 mm / ⅛" input, as my laptop detects the port is used as input and blocks the output of the built-in speakers completely during it's use.

Doesn't work out of box with devices that takes 3pin mic input, it's having 4 pin 3.5mm jack. There's no converter included as shown in image either, the item is not same, check images. Seems fake seller. Not worth for money, go for 500+ mics with reputed company and seller. This seller doesn't deserve prime status, as package was a bit crushed, there was no seal on package either.

The product I received is a peice of garbage. It picks up barely any sound, and any sound it does pick up is crackly and barely audible. I got better sound pickup from my phone's mic, standing 6-8 feet away, than the mic did a 2-6 inches from my face. I probably got the defective last one. Was hoping to use it for video projects for school, but it looks liek now I'm going to have to look around my area for a different one quick before my 1st one is due in a few days..
