This Jarlsberg was expensive but excellent.

Excellent taste!

I was introduced to this brand and type cheese at a party, and decided to buy some myself. The taste is excellent (at least, in my opinion) as is the consistency. To me, it does not taste like standard Swiss cheese. I am not a fan of that type cheese.

Nutty & Mild Close to Swiss But Not

Been eating this cheese for yrs and it's consistently lovely. Jarlsberg cheese is not Swiss, it's Jarlberg. But it can stand in for Swiss on some sandwiches. Jarlsberg cheese is made in Tine Norway. Therefore it does cost more than cheese made here in WI or the states. I've read a review complaining about the price , perhaps switch to a mild Swiss made here.
