Little Bot Baby Play Mat (Ofie mat, zen line + triangle)

PROS: attractive, safe/well-cushioned, 2 colors, easy to clean, durableCONS: a bit pricey, wish it was largerWe've had this mat (actually 2 of them) for over a month now for our baby's play area, and so far, it's held up great. This is what our baby plays on for most of the day and it is very soft and cushiony even though it's only about a 1/2 inch thick. She hasn't learned how to sit up properly yet, so she's constantly falling over on her head, and the mat is soft enough to absorb the impact.The mat is very easy to clean. We use a lint roller to pick up hair and dust from it, and then we wipe it down with wet wipes. Cleanup just takes a minute or two, and then it's ready to go again. I also like that there are 2 different colors, white and gray (I only took pictures of the white side) so you can choose which color you want to show. I chose to have the white side up because it makes it easier to spot hair and debris when we're cleaning it.As far as durability goes, we've only had it for a month, but so far it seems like it's constructed very well and should hold up. I'll update this review if we have any problems with the durability of the mat.There are only 2 negatives that I can think of. First of all, it's kind of expensive for what it is- just a foam mat. I guess value is subjective, but I'm sure there are cheaper options out there that will perform well. Second, the mat could be a bit larger. Our baby is just in the crawling stage, but one mat is not large enough for her to explore the area. We got 2 and put them together, then surrounded the mats with a gate, and this seems like a perfect size area for a baby to crawl around and explore.Anyway, this is overall a very good product and if you can afford to pick up two of them, that's what I would suggest. Obviously, everyone's needs are different, and you may not use yours the way we use ours, but we are really happy with our setup.5 stars for now. Will update after a few months.

4 years later review (2):I still have this mat laid out in my son’s bedroom instead of a carpet. It has been used daily since 2019 (original order). 4 years later, it still looks and feels like new. I even have 2 feet of the bed on top of the ends and somehow, it self heals after a while. No rips, it is still thick and squishy. I have not noticed any flatness.Cleanup is easy, I usually use a non-harsh cleaner with a damp cloth. This is way better than those tile mats as it’s one big piece, less crumbs goes underneath. I just lift up one side and vacuum. It’s still 5 starts for me, I highly recommend!UPDATED REVIEW (1):I contacted customer service and they sent a replacement right away. I was not aware that the mat came with a one-year limited warranty and mine was still within a year. They let me get the oracle + zen line as a replacement since I didn't want to risk another discoloration on the white side if I was going to get the zen line + triangle. But they did mention that they already fixed the defect and the newer ones should be fine.The mat that I got must be a new version. It's the same thickness but squishier. It cleans up easy as the first one and it's perfect for protecting my little one from trips and falls. It provides adequate protection if laid on hard floor and more if on carpet. The replacement came with the velcro straps but there is no bag included; which I do not mind since I find using the velcro straps easier when I have to put it up for storage/travel. I've used the bag once but it's hard to get it in and out.Overall I am happy with the purchase and and excellent customer service. It is well worth the price and I recommend it highly!ORIGINAL REVIEW:I bought this mat May of this year and I loved it until the white side turned yellow. I have been taking care of it since I got it, I do not have pets and I make sure that my little one and I are clean before stepping on it without shoes on. I wipe of every spill right away and I've been diligently cleaning it thoroughly at least once a week. I now have to use the gray side. For the price point, I expect better.

I hardly ever write reviews. What busy mom has the time for that? But this mat has been my babie's best friend during the most formative period of her life 0-24. She spend so much time on it that it was easily the best purchase we ever made as parents. I am a very picky mom: would purchase multiple items to hold and test before I settle on the best.What sold me this mat initially was the beauty of it, lets be honest. I was sick of every single baby toy ruining the semblance of any adult life ever present in our apartment. 99,9% of baby things come in a Rainbow Color way. We needed a break that would also be child friendly (hello B&W) After the mat arrived and I made my first step on it, it was a done deal. It felt like walking on clouds. It is thick and luscious. Additionally, there was ZERO SMELL to it. There is absolutely nothing to dislike about this mat. Later, it turned out my baby had muscle weakness and we went through months of PT. This mat has seen it all, all firsts, pain and happiness, potty training (so easy to clean up accidents) and food messes.I must admit, after 24 months, white side has yellowed quite a bit, but the grey side was still perfect. I nearly cried when we had to say good bye and I so wish I knew about my local "BUY NOTHING" facebook group where another family could have given it a second life. I did not know of a proper way to recycle it. I wish Little bot had a program like that.I genuinely hope this company grows yet sticks to their high quality standards.All in all, one of the best purchases our 18 year old family ever made.I hope this review is helpful!

Wow. In my search for a minimalistic and modern looking baby mat (I.e. light or neutral colored with an inoffensive pattern), I tried out the black and white YAY! Mat with the plus sign, and a Baby Care mat (much cheaper with a coupon from Bed Bath & Beyond, around $80; Amazon sells them for $149).Well, the Ofie is the most expensive but the most worth it too. It actually feels like memory foam and you sink into it as you walk. It's comfortable enough to lie on with your baby and I have zero concerns about my baby falling or landing on this mat since it gives the right amount of squishy cushioning (and frankly, the softness I was expecting from all the mats I ordered, I thought my decision would just be based on the different patterns across companies)!The YAY interlocking mat is thick foam with no give. It's about double the thickness of the Ofie or Baby Care. It'd be better to fall on than concrete or tile, but doesn't really do too much. I think people describe it as exercise / gym floor foam (thick and stiff with no give), so I was pretty disappointed that I put two on my registry and missed the return window... I was that sold on them and naive in my assumption that all baby mats would be soft.The Baby Care mat I bought after the Ofie - and again, I thought I'd get the exact same cushioning, just for a cheaper price and slightly less desirable pattern. I was wrong.The Baby Care feels more gelatinous/jelly-like, kind of like it's filled with more stuff, but with less give. It's kind of how a yoga mat would feel on a hard floor (though thicker than most yoga mats) - you can still squish it between your fingers, but if you sit down on it, you'll experience more a thud of resistance, whereas the Ofie really gives a soft cloud foam landing.Personally, my baby and I spend the most time on the Ofie and rarely venture onto the other two surfaces - they're just not as comfortable.P.S. My sister-in-law and our daycare use the Parklon mats. Those are also nice (though I think they have the same feel as the Baby Care mat but may be slightly softer) but they're also super expensive. The Ofie one is by far the best one.

Very comfortable. I like to lay down it and I would buy one for myself! Thick enough that you’ll feel a lot more comfortable if your LO topples over on to this mat vs a hard floor. It’s very easy to clean and has stood up to messes AND my dog’s nails.To me, it smells like a pool float, even though we’ve had it out/open for about a month. It also still does not lay all the way flat.I think the price is exorbitant and I cringe thinking about it, but I didn’t want a puzzle mat. Hoping to continue to use this for several years. I do wish I had gotten a different print - I got oracle but would have rather had the triangles.

We have hard vinyl floors so it was between this or an area rug for the about the same price. We went with this and are SO HAPPY. It is squishy and thick so baby doesn’t feel a thing when flipping or tumbling over. It is super easy to clean off and easy to move. It is a little textured which is perfect for little baby feet to grip and get moving. It’s not huge, but it works for the space we have and for baby to do a lot of the fundamental development type milestones. Once he’s bigger we will flip it over for the road! Highly recommend. I already insisted a friend put this on her registry. It did take a little longer than usual to get delivered but I live in AK so there’s that.

I purchased this mat after much deliberation and comparison with others on the market and I’m so glad I did! I had long been frustrated with our old, traditional type mat that was too small, would slide along the floor, crease up as baby moved, pose as a huge trip hazard for others moving around the room and that also ( with its vast amount of colours and patterns) look completely unsightly in our lounge, and, I really wanted to invest in something that would work better for our family.This mat arrived quickly and well packaged in a sturdy box and I was delighted to find that inside this the mat was then packaged in its own cotton carry bag with a set of Velcro straps to allow the mat to be transported easily. There was no odour when unpacked (as you often get from foam type items) and the mat unrolled perfectly and was immediately ready for the little ones to use. The edges of this mat are slightly curved and the product as whole does not slip even on wooden floors which was a huge relief as it is usually in such a busy area of our home.The youngest in our household- who is just starting to crawl -took to it instantly as I think the mat cushioned her hands and knees beautifully. She has had dry patches of skin on her knees from crawling on carpets and hard floors but they disappeared in days once we had this. The soft padding also made me far less anxious when she rolls and tries to pull herself up as I am sure it would definitely lesson any impact if she stumbled and I wasn’t quick enough to catch her. Little one also appears to be playing far more contently and I am sure it is because she can pick out her toys far more easily against the beautiful muted backgrounds of this new mat than she could against the vivid images on our old one.Our older children also seem to gravitate towards the mat as it is so comfortable underfoot and to sit on and it is used literally all day for a multitude of floor activities and even a few gymnastic moves. It really is big enough for 2 or 3 children to use at the same time.In terms of wear and tear I am confident that this mat is going to more than sufficiently durable and long lasting as spilled drinks and snacks, baby dribble and pencil marks have wiped off with ease ( the old one was constantly in the washing machine!) leaving it spotless and hygienically clean. Additionally, even when the children have been a little heavy handed with bricks or pencils the mat has not even shown as much as an indent.Last but not least, this mat is super stylish. I was drawn to the grey pattern at the time of purchase but have found myself switching equally between sides to give a different look to the lounge and play area every few days. Every single one of my friends have commented on how lovely it was and couldn’t believe it was an actual playmat. They were even more impressed when I recently bought it out in its carry bag for a picnic and all the babies were able to crawl around on the soft, safe and clean space it created whilst their siblings played on the grass in the play area.Overall I can’t recommend this mat enough- the quality, comfort, style and usefulness are leagues above any playmat I have used before and it has already proven itself to be a brilliant investment for us. I know we will be using it daily for many years to come.

We bought this in October 2021 for our child. We had been searching for a good play mat with neutral colours so it wouldn't be distracting for us or baby in our small apartment. This mat was perfect as it suited our interior design and colors in the living room, and it looks as if it's a mat meant for the room.Although hesitant on the price, we bought it anyway because other options were just not good enough in our opinion.We were blown away by the durability and quality of this mat. We saw other reviews regarding pets making holes in the mat with claws and were worried. However, with two cats in the household, who sometimes run over the mat when they play, we have not experienced any issues with holes or even scratches.Our child has used this mat exclusively for almost 1,5 years now and it is still widely used for all her activities. She learned to roll over, crawl and walk on the mat. And plays on it with her toys, reads books and makes drawings while sitting or laying on it everyday. It is perfect for us parents to sit and play with her as well so we don't get aching knees or back by sitting directly on the floor. We have all fallen asleep on the mat on different occasions because of how comfortable it is, including the cats.It is popular among all family and friends no matter the age that visit to be drawn to sitting on the mat to bond with our child. Paired with a kids play tent, both adults and children have been laying comfortably on the mat while in the tent. Adding some pillows and it has been cozy playtime for hours.We have the mat close to windows, balcony door and ventilation. If we open them during the winter the mat will become almost as cold as the air that comes in, but warms up quickly and well with body heat or when doors are shut. If we need to let in air in the room we place a blanket on the mat so our child can still play without being cold. The temperature changes has not made a difference on the quality of the mat as far as we can tell. It is also comfortable to sit on for a long time as it won't give the sticky sweaty feeling on skin like some plastics can do. It isn't too warm to sit on during the summer time either and when sun is shining through the windows on it.For cleaning, it seems durable enough to keep the hygiene well. We used to shower the entire mat maybe once a month with water and if needed used mild dish soap and then pat dry with towel or left overnight to dry. Especially when our child was small (0-6 months) and often spit up milk on the mat.At least a 3 times per week we vacuum it with a soft brush nozzle.We also use the mat for diaper changes as we don't need to worry about baby rolling off a changing table. Due to this sometimes accidents with pee occur and we simply wipe it off with wet paper towels and then use alcohol desinfectant. We have even had an accident with pee from our cat and wiped off same way but also with some vinegar to remove the horrible cat pee smell and it worked well. We have never had issues with staining on the carpet to this day of writing this review and don't expect it to become an issue in the future.Now as our child is older we find we don't have to clean it as thoroughly, it is instead sufficient to wipe off with a wet cloth and vacuuming regularly.Now as our family is growing with another baby on the way, we are thinking of having a play room for the children. So we are considering buying another mat to have them placed next to each other, that is how well this mat has served us!

This is by far the best playmat. We had 2 other playmats from different brand but this has more cushion, durable and so easy to clean. We put this underneath a pikler and holds up even after robust usage. No peeling and remains good as new.

Direte.. ma perché spendere così tanto per un semplice tappeto gioco..? Si in effetti costa Tantissimo .. ma se avete appena rifatto casa vi vengono i brividi a mettere in pieno salone uno di quelli con forme giganti e colori accecanti. Posso dire che è bellissimo e morbidissimo. Che i giochi che ci metti sopra risaltano e non si confondono con le stampe. Che è isolante e facile da lavare. E che chiunque entri in casa mi dice “ma che bello sto tappeto gioco!”Quindi si ho fatto un investimento per figlio ma anche per noi genitori, una cosa Sobria ma simpatica che puoi tollerare in salotto anche nel tempo!! Io ho preso L variante che sul retro ha una pista per macchinine ed è bello e discreto anche così.
