Works well thus far. I was able to remove a lot of dirt that had accumulated on the first 30-40 feet of the line that affected casting. It is much slicker now and shoots like it did when new. I recommend it.

Good stuff, does what it proports to do. I would recommend letting the dressing sit on the line for an extended period of time before buffing. Seems to need a bit more time to soak in on some cheaper fly lines. Overall though, a good price and a good product.

Cleaning your fly line is one of those essential tasks that many fishermen simply don't do. A product like Agent X will make your fly line last longer. It will allow you to cast further, since you can shoot more line.If you fish for trout in relatively clean, cold, fresh water, you might get away with cleaning your line a couple of times a season. If you fish for warm water species, with algae in the water, you'll want to do it more frequently. If you notice your line sticking in the guides, it's a sign you need to clean it.When I'm fishing in salt water, cleaning is absolutely critical: I'll clean the line before I go out the first time, and then every other day. The days I don't clean the line, I'll carefully rinse it in fresh water before putting my stuff away for the night. You'll be amazed how much better your fishing experience will be if you keep your line clean.There are lots of cleaning kits on the market. I've used a bunch of different ones, and couldn't say that one is better than another. This Rio Kit is simple and relatively inexpensive. It works. Why pay more?

I've been very impressed with this product. I've been using it on all of my floating lines every few months for the past few years, and still have around half a bottle left. The buffing pads work great and the compound itself helps to keep lines shooting through guides with ease and floating high on the water. Can't recommend it enough. If you aren't regularly cleaning and dressing your line, you're leaving casting distance on the table and shortening the lifespan of your fly line.

We're lucky enough to use the heck outta our fly rods. I hoped this would do more to condition the line. It does seem to clean it, but so would soap and water. I guess, I wanted something magical to happen with the line (like make the little cracks go away). Silly me. Maybe it's worth it - the line does shoot nicer after an application - but I don't see my lines lasting longer because I conditioned them. I bet I was asking too much.If you're hoping to get the line a little cleaner and have it shoot nicer (for a while), then this is for you.

I thought that this was a line cleaner / reconditioning product as there really isn't anything in the description. I have a full sink Rio 6 that needs some love, so I bought this in hopes of cleaning it up... imagine my surprise when inside the package (not outside) there's a note: not for the sink portion of a line, or full sink line.Hopefully this helps someone else in a similar situation, hopefully you buy the right product - this isn't it.
