Torah Queeries: Weekly Commentaries on the Hebrew Bible Paperback – August 22, 2012

This book covers a lot of ground in one broad stroke. It’s approachable for both an emerging scholar or just a casual reader interested in the material. Additionally, Amazon sent me a free copy after the first was delivered to the wrong place. I’m happy with the purchase all the way around.

As said in the title, Torah Queeries is wonderfully insightful and diverse. I enjoyed being able to read commentary from so many different queer - sorry, LGBT (are you happy now, sensors? Happy that the big bad QUEER used a sanitized word with their RECLAIMED slur?) individuals.

Insightful perspectives. You can feel the emotion and care taken to write, through the pages.

Brilliant, and gentle musings on each week's parsha from a GLBTIQ perspective. This book is very helpful for broadening our understanding of the Torah, and the lives of Jewish GLBTIQ.

Excellent addition to the multiple homosexual commentary on the Torah. This is specifically from a Man's Perspective. WE need more books like this!

This is a fascinating approach to understanding yet further, the myriad of interpretations that evolve from Torah. Thoughtful, artful, and well-researched, also easily accessible for scholar and student. I highly recommend this for all interested in a new perspective from timeless text.

This brilliant book takes readers through the entire Torah (first five books of the Bible). It is written by leading rabbis and Jewish academics and provides plenty of fresh material from a Queer perspective.
