The Infinite Rose

I like the book but got it mostly for reference for my paintings. I needed some close up pictures of roses and the computer doesn't do rose pics any justice, not usually. So this book makes it possible for me to see the details up close and on hand. Do I wish it was a bigger book of roses sure. We always want more of course. I'm going through an Artistic botanical phase in my art and need every picture I can get my hands on for drawing purposes. Since winter hit my garden isn't putting out any beautiful rose yet so I have to use these kind of resources. This book, the computer, other plant books I've purchased and so forth. So this book is cool to look at but only a couple of things I can actually use. The price was fair too.

My mom adores roses so every year I try and find her a book about them. This was a great addition to her collection- the photos are beautiful, and it's a *lovely* book from start to finish. The only issue that i would note is that it is a "gift size" book (smaller than your average photo book, which tends to be oversized). But the amount of pages and gorgeous photos make it a wonderful purchase.

I was introduced to Harold's work by his now deceased daughter Robin Kovary who was my best friend and mentor. I was in awe of the beauty and detail of his photographs. Everything he touches with his camera and eye is magnificant. I am so fortunate to have a signed copy of this book. Over time, rose will wither and die, but Harold's photographs are imortal!

This book of photographs of roses is beautiful. The pictures are stunning and it is great to just look through

The photographs in this book were made by placing each flower directly onto a scanning bed. The results are generally quite lovely, but with a consistant light source and unchanging methodology, it quickly becomes a one-trick pony. As far as a comparison study between different varieties of roses, it's quite nice, but limited.

The images done in low light are magical. This is a lovely book

The pictures in this book are stunning. I love just looking at the pictures but more than that I enjoy using the book as a reference for my art. The book is full of beautiful pictures that can serve as reference for still life studies.

Love love love this book ! The photography is beautiful , love the small size took it with me to my art classes . Great inspiration for painting pastel or pencil art !

This book contains beautiful photos of roses and makes a lovely gift for someone who likes roses. I bought it because I wanted to buy something permanent to mark a special occasion.

Hopefully will use it for drawing from. I also like Roses a lot and appreciate just looking at them. End
