I have done my own nails for years and after growing out acrylics, I moved to gel, being told it is so much healthier for your natural nails. But I have naturally thin nails and since I love the NYK1 gel polish, this looked like a great idea. I have used it twice now and it is much harder (after drying) then just the base, color, top coat gel; but it does not handle like acrylic at all. I am sure I will progressively get better at using it, but it will take more practice even for someone as ambidextrous as me.

Good quality product easy to use great value

It self levels like a dream, but it is a very soft gel. I use it as an overlay on my real nails & it has kept them from breaking, but if this starts chipping or lifting, you might as well remove that whole nail & start over. I didn't buy their base coat bc I am highly sensitive to bonders & base coat, so I only use a certain brand. I'm not sure if that would have made a difference. My nails had gotten very long & I did file them down a few days ago. After about 3-4 weeks I had to do a whole new set bc the lifting had gotten so bad. I also had bubble lifts in the middle of some nails from where I had apparently hit that nail & the impact went to that area & caused a separation. It's very strange bc I've never had that before, but like I said, its a very soft hard gel. Removes easily, didn't damage my nails or make them weak. It is a great product, but maybe for someone who prefers their nails shorter & it's clumsy or rough with their hands.

When I opened it, the jar smelled a bit strong and was very "chemical." I gave it a try last week, and when I opened it and started using it, the fumes were so strong that I had the urge to throw up. My cat was also sitting in the chair beside me, and she was starting to shudder for no reason. The ventilation in my room was not very good, so I immediately closed the jar and opened the windows. I'm not sure I had a bad batch, but I think that the fumes this nail gel has aren't just smelly but also impact health.

Really good builder gel, so easy to work with I’ll be ordering new one for sure
