The folding frame can be folded to a flat-ish position. It will be as thick as the frames can allow. There are many options how the screen can be folded out. It can be straight, box end, curved, zig-zag, part open, etc. As with all items that require the recipient to put together, I recommend you lay everything out to ensure you have everything. I got this for my daughter who has just moved house and needs a divider screen for closing off and creating a small home office area in one of the bedrooms and this will be perfect.
