desertcart.com: Bitten Under Fire: Bravo Team WOLF, Book 2 (Audible Audio Edition): Heather Long, Curt Bonnem, Tantor Audio: Audible Books & Originals Review: Waiting for more books anxiousy - Bitten Under Fire by Heather Long is the second book in her Bravo Team Wolf series and I loved it!! I have never been disappointed by one of Ms. Long's books and am hoping with fingers crossed there will be more books in the series. After all the rest of Bravo Team needs to find their mates, right? Bianca Devlin's life revolves around one disaster after another helping organize everything is what she lives for but when her boss tells her to take time off she's off to a tropical island for pool time. However, when guerilla's attack the resort she doesn't hesitate to protect a young boy who was taken also. When Bravo Team is called in to rescue the boy Carlos finds Bianca willing to give her life to protect Collin but she's accidentally bitten during the rescue. When she returns to Texas she'll discover that Carlos "Cage" Castillo is her new neighbor who wants to make sure she'll be alright when the turning happens. First he has to tell his commander and father who frowns on humans being turned and he'll have to convince Bianca that he's fallen hard for her. Oh and don't tell your Abuela because they always mention their worry to the parents Carlos, its what we do best. Can Bianca still do the work she loves saving lives after a disaster after accepting her wolf and learn how to be a part of the wolf pack? Review: loved the story but not the editing errors - I have enjoyed the "Brotherhood Protectors" that this author has written, and although I am not a fan of the shifter books I decided to try it. I have to say I loved the story and the characters. I have read both books 1 & 2, and look forward to the rest of the series. Quite often a series like this will be alot of cut & paste, but both books have been different. Would have liked a bit more as far as the actual shifter goes, but it worked well with a mix of military, romance, shifter and suspense. A good sized (pages) for the price! I hope book 3 continues to bring in the past characters as well as new ones. This book has a big error in it, the author failed to do some research which is disappointing. When Bianca is aboard the USS Seahawke ( the U.S.S. Sea Hawk was only in use from 1917-1919 and was a patrol vessel) if you are going to copy an actual Naval Ship either get your facts right or use a made up ship, she was being attended to by CORPSMAN McGinnis, a corpsman is NOT a Doctor, more the equivalent to an EMT, but the author listed McGinnis as both a corpsman and a doctor. A Doctor is an officer, a corpsman is enlisted. A corpsman eats in the enlisted mess, a doctor eats in the officer mess, which is why she asked for a simple sandwich so she didn't get in trouble. There are alot of little typing errors, missing words in sentences - enough that I only gave it a 4 star. Its editing/research errors like the above that drop the rating. Hopefully future books will be better.

My first time reading Heather's work and I need more!!
My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!! ***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!! Yes, I got a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book! I have bought this book and the first one too! The cover is what attracted me to the book because military and shifters means must read! This is my first time reading Heather’s work though I’m not sure why since I own 26 of her books currently. This is the 2nd book in this series, and it is for adults only due to the violence and steamy content. You should be aware that there is abuse by guerillas in this book, so take appropriate action for you. This book was action-packed and humorous! I love both Bianca and Cage’s senses of humor. They fit together and are a matched set. Bianca can definitely take care of herself, but now Cage wants to protect her. The camaraderie with Cage’s unit is awesome. I love how they all come together to help Cage. HEAs are my favorite kind of book especially where shifters are involved. I can’t wait to go read book 1 and more of Heather’s books that I own. I really liked Heather’s writing style and the humor that went into it. I highly recommend to wolf shifter lovers who love military men, romance, and HEAs!

Bitten Under Fire is a heartwarming tale that kept me smiling and rooting for love.
Emergency aid worker Bianca Devlin is used to being the rescuer. When she sees a little boy being kidnapped while she is on a forced vacation she rushes to his aid unfortunately getting kidnapped along with the boy. She does her best to keep the boy from more trauma. This all means that she and the boy need rescuing. Call in the Marines - Bravo Team WOLF to the rescue. Rescuing the boy and Bianca is supposed to be an easy in easy out op. Sergeant Carlos “Cage” Castillo is leading his first mission and everything is going to plan until he accidently bites Bianca while tearing the guy who is about to kill her away. Now he has to wait and see if she will change. I LOVE Bianca! She is smart, strong and totally human in the best way. I love that Cage is so secure in himself as a Marine but just as messed up as the rest of us in relation to his father (his alpha) and oblivious in relation to women. Bitten Under Fire is a heartwarming tale that kept me smiling and rooting for love.

All the feels
Love Bianca and Cage. I want a Cage for myself, lol. From the jungle in Costa Rica to the streets of Austin TX, his honor and strength stood out. His having to keep the secret of what he was weighed heavy on him as his human side realized what his wolf already knew. And in Bianca we have another smart, strong female that I love to read about. Can't wait for the next book in this series, I want to learn more about the rest of the team.

Marines, shifters and strong heroine muff said.
She was kidnapped and the rescue team had no idea she was. A marine accidentally bites her while trying to get her assailant to let go of her. This is the story of what follows that rescue.

Nice read
This was a nice read. These characters showed grace under fire under not so great circumstances. When Cage and his father come to an understanding it showed that a fathers love is eternal.

Definitely good. I enjoyed it. Though I now wish I’d read the first one first. It was paced well and I liked the characters. The end made me cringe a little, but that’s my own issues and triggers. I don’t handle surprises and being kept in the dark well. I’m sure it’s not a problem for most people. Definitely worth a read.
