A basic cordless strimmer. This strimmer has a plastic handle and motor housing and three piece metal click together shaft. It is quick to assemble, with only the shaft handle and the shield needing assembly. A screwdriver was included to attach the shield with the supplied screws. It comes with two 2Ah 21v lithium ion batteries and a plug charger. The batteries are ‘power share’ compatible and so are interchangeable with a large number of Chinese made cordless power tools. The click together shaft means it can be folded up to make it more compact for transport and storage. The power on off trigger in the handle has a safety lock to prevent accidental activation. There is a useful wire flip down guard close to the cutting head to prevent the strimmer wire touching solid objects. The strimmer head is a single nylon wire cutter that is quite thin but has a twist in it that should assist it wearing better and the kit came with 8 additional nylon wire spools. There is a spools are quick and easy to swap outl There is a manual wire advance button on the side of the spool and the shield includes a cutting blade to trim the length. The is auto feed is accomplished by starting and stopping the strimmer. The cutting head angle to the shaft is adjustable by pressing a button, over several click stops from 0 to 60 degrees, however in each position the head will wobble over about 5 degrees as it is not held in position securely. There is also a further release button that allows the head to be twisted sideways 90 degrees which in company with the wheel attached to the guard would allow lawn edge trimming. At 6 foot tall I found the length of the central shaft a little short necessitating the cutting head to be positioned closer than I would like to my feet. Extras included a pair of clear eye shields and cotton gloves which were too small for my hands. Overall this strimmer is suitable for grass trimming and weed cutting but nothing heavier. It would benefit from an adjustable length shaft and more secure head position adjustment.
