KavafiedKAVA LAPITA - Premium Noble Solomon Island Kava Root (8oz)

First time trying Kava. I wanted one to help me have a good nights sleep. How I make. I heat up 20oz water to 120 degrees. I add 10oz water to the kavafied bottle. I add 2 tbsp of kava in the ball. I shake for 3 minutes. I dump the kava out the ball, add 2 more tbsp of kava, and shake in the same 10oz water for 2min. Then add that kava water to another cup, add the remaining 10oz warm water to the kava bottle, and repeat the same process as before. So for 20oz of water, I have about 40g of kava prepared. Why I do that? I don’t want to drink 30-40oz of water before bed, but want a strong kava. The taste is like a peppery turmeric. So it’s not a refreshing drink, but not the worst thing I’ve drunk before. It’s a very physically relaxing kava. My body feels very relaxed, and I feel bubbly, smiley, like easily amused, but not stimulated like a stimulant. Able to fall asleep and stay asleep just fine too. I’m a fan of this brand already. The cup and ball makes it easy to make.

Great product, but for whatever reason it arrives 1 - 2 days late every time I order. Please stop using USPS to ship this stuff.

Honestly, I don’t think anyone drinks kava for the taste but if I’d have to put my two cents in, I’d have to say it’s very peppery. It’s definitely a bold taste and maybe not the kava you’d like to start a friend off on if your trying to introduce someone to kava. But for the veterans out there Lapita is great. Some kava makes me uneasy or really stimulates my mind but Lapita is the only kava that I’ve come across that puts me at ease after a long stressful day. And at night I actually hit rem sleep which is not a common thing for me. Im a super light sleeper and I don’t don’t dream very often, I wake up multiple times through the night but on Lapita I am so relaxed I go to sleep and I wake up rested.I have yet to try kava Batí or Supreme.Out of the others that I have tried Lapita is my favorite so far, and I’ve also gotta throw some props out there for the Shakers, it makes life so much easier and the coconut shell cap is a plus, I can take it with me everywhere.

This is a great kava. It has much more of a piney taste than peppery. I have always mixed my kava with Celestial Very Cherry Berry Tea and then poured that tea once it cooled a little into an aluball and added a little extra water. The flavor is great. The effects aren't too extreme but it does seem to melt the day's anxiety right off and I can sit and watch Youtube videos for as long as i want without a single care. Great Effects! Great Taste! Overall Great Kava for the price!

This is the 1st time I’ve tried Kava from this manufacturer. I was purchasing a new Alluball and decided to give their Kava a try. I used 2 tablespoons in the ball and did 2 washes. I did not get any of the desired effects that I normally get from my usual brand. Instead, I got nausea, anxiety and vertigo. It was a nightmare and I will never use again.I’m a weekly drinker of Kava and will stick to my usual brand. Very concerning and disappointing.

If you are new to kava, do not take 1-2 tablespoons like most packages of most brands tell you. This is why people are having negative experiences. Herbs have been hidden from the world from so long that people don't respect them these days. Most people have the untrue and unconscious belief that herbs are secondary to man made drugs and products. Herbs are very powerful beings and every herb has its own defense mechanisms to keep greedy and disrespectful animals from eating too much. Be smart and respectful when trying a new herb and start small. With Kava start with a teaspoon and the next day a little more, working your way up to a comfortable amount. And be a good human and thank the Kava for loosing it's life for you.This is very good and fresh Kava, I was actually surprised how good it is. I will definitely order again. All respect to the owners and harvesters of this product, I know I'm supposed to only be reviewing this specific brand but it's disturbing to me that people are taking so much and having negative reactions and experiences because they aren't respecting the plants. Especially in these anxious times which Kava is a Godsend.

Great for sleep. Not much euphoria but very relaxing.

As a fan of Kavafied Tonga, I expected strong grog. Was not disappointed. The grind is nice for the Aluball, only needing two 6 oz washes before it was mostly clear (they were thick washes.) 2 tbsp in two 6 oz shakes made for a relaxed body and untouched mind. Another 2 tbsp in 6 oz got me to "krunk". My brain is a rock in my skull, but still totally unimpaired thinking. My body though? Pretty close to couch lock...The smell is wonderful. Floral, black pepper, with a nice grassy back. The flavor is strong, starts with the floral and then hits you with the pepper and that trademark kava medicine flavor.As far as pain relief, I would rate it less than Tonga. The lack of mind also makes it not the best for anxiety (again, Tonga would be my recommendation.) But after a long day or workout the body effects on this will be perfect!
