PRO1 IAQ T701i WIFI Thermostat by PRO1 IAQ

Having interface issues with connecting phones to the thermometer. Tried using Samsung, Apple, and LG phones to separately test functionality. Gave me a hard time. My wifi is at a 2.4GHz frequency so it should have worked. I wanted this product to be able to control the temp whenever not home so i wouldn't cool the furniture and waste power. Product did not work as intended (most likely a faulty product). Returned and got a full refund.

This WiFi thermostat is great especially if you have a Pro 1 product currently as they have a universal base which allows the buyer to simply pop out the old thermostat and plug in the new one. In my case I needed to connect the milli volt wire to provide power to the new unit. The app is super easy to use and it comes with schedule programs or if you want to do your own you can. The display is nice and large and is a blue color background when lit at night. There is also a filter reminder on the thermostat! Very impressive at this price point!

I have purchased 21 of these thermostats and use them in a commercial setting.Before purchasing these thermostats, as of Feb 2020 be advised the following:* if upgrading from a non wifi pro1 thermostat, the bases are interchangable and thermostats are easy to swap out if a neutral wire is present in the base.* The recently updated app and thermostat program still has the following bugs:1) The static time setting occasionally lags leaving the time setting off by an hour or so.2) The thermostats occasionally will drop offline for a short period of time, thus allowing for only manual adjustments.3) Occasionally, portions of your preset program for the week will change to what appears to be default settings.4) Random thermostats will set themselves calling for 0 degrees (this is happening less frequently now)5) The log in to your app drops out occasionally, so log in is required again ( this is called a "Hassle" )6) The locking feature will unlock itself frequently!Overall, the hardware on the Pro1 thermostats seems quite sound, I would rate the non wifi thermostats (5 stars with no problems).I believe as the IT programmers work on these issues, the bugs will finally be worked out and the pro1 wifi thermostat can earn a high rating also.I also believe that Pro1 made an unwise choice trying to channel these thermostats and their warranties through HVAC companies only.I am grateful for the amazon sellers that offer these thermostats at a reasonable price.The wifi thermostat is outrageously priced from my local HVAC dealer, plus they are unable to do anything about the bugs mentioned above.

This thermostat according to the mfgr should be purchased only through an authorized dealer. I didn’t know that & purchased through Amazon. The thermostat after having it installed by a HVAC technician will not accept access code & WIFI cannot be set-up. I spent $70 for unit & $100 to have installed because I need WIFI. Now I’m out of $170, with same non-WIFI capability. Do not buy from HVAC Surplus! Amazon should disallow this merchant to sell on site.You’ve been warned

Thermosat confirmed faulty by HVAC professional. I found out if I had purchased this thermostat through an authorized dealer, outside of Amazon, then I would have been protected under the Pro T701i 3-yr warranty rather than the lame 30-days offered by HVAC Surplus. Shame on you and Amazon for not pointing this out.
