You have to jury-rig a flexible hose to the sander to which you can attach a vac hose. **Q: Is the dust port removable ?** A: The dust ports are fixed on the machine and two universal size reducers( 1-3/8 In O.D) are connected to the outside of the dust ports. **Q: I wanted this model for sharpening lawnmower blades and wondered,if it will do the job?** A: Certainly, abrasive belts and discs can be used for sharpening any kind of metal blades. Choose the type of belt accordingly. You probably will want some kind of cubitron or zirconia. It will be expensive, however. Belts are much more expensive than grinding wheels, and will wear out much faster. **Q: I see in the description this tool is intended for wood, what would happen if metal is used?** A: The sanding belt and disc is what is intended for wood.
