It looks pretty nice, but this is not at all as described in the overly exuberant description: "Are you still troubled by the cheap plastic material to run when enjoying at shower? ...Everything in this kit is made of premium mental except the shower head" is simply not true. (Except maybe the "mental" part. Who writes this sludge?) The only parts of this that are actually metal are the (two-piece) rod, the water supply elbow and most of the hose. ALL other parts are "cheap plastic material" that is in no way "adopts advanced brush finish technology to increase the surface strength". A two-piece rod threaded in the middle is simply a source of corrosion. I'm doubtful that the plastic clamp will last very long. The shower head controller feels cheap. It's really too bad because it all looks quite nice, but I'm hesitant to drill holes in my tiles and wall for this product. At least the product description provides comic relief! It's worth a read if you need an example of ESL marketing gone wild. Oh, and I'd like to meet the world-class handyman that magically demonstrated "it only takes 1-minutes to install." I can't even apply plumber's putty that fast. Sheesh.

We just did a mast bathroom remodel and used this VANBUS shower slide and head for the install. Originally we had bought a not cheap set from Dome Hippo which turned out to be crappy plastic and ugly. This set is much much nicer and we are pleased with the result. There is some plastic here and there but the overall impression is of real stainless steel with a nice patina and lots of sturdiness. We mounted ours against a back wall fully tiled with white horizontal tiles and it looks very smart and classy. During installation our contractor was stopped dead and need a real plumber to get it installed with much fiddling to get the hose connector fitted. During first fit they had brought the half inch receiver close to the surface but after tiling there was some distance to the thread and the plumber had to improvise with an adapter and a spacer to get it to reach. If you have never used half inch shower fittings they are a pain because they are tapered and you cannot just cut a long one to the length you need, it will not thread because it will be too tight. You are forced to use factory fitting as they come. But real plumbers know that. I spent a long time messing around learning all these annoying secrets when I was trying to help. But now that the whole arrangement is installed it is very nice indeed!

Used the Vanbus handheld shower head with slide bar was ordered to increase the functionality of a small shower stall. The unit replaced a "vintage", small, standard stationary shower head. Because it was used by tall adults and young kids the adjustable height bar was a plus. The installation was straightforward and fairly easy. Did some experimenting for the bar placement. The hose was attached at the point of the original head. The shower head hangs securely when placed in the bracket and easy to remove and replace. The unit has improved the functionality of the space and while there are long term plans for a permanent remodel, this has been a good option for upgrading the shower.

Based solely on the quality of the shower setup, this would 100% earn a 5 star review. The quality of everything in the box is really impressive for a no-name import. It runs about 30% of the cost of the average "big name" shower systems, which can actually get into the $600-$100 range. Like, I would 1000% recommend this shower head setup to anyone that I know...BUT, the dimensions in the directions are very deceiving and will definitely cause issues if you don't read the directions and look at the technical drawings first! The included hose that attaches to the handle is very well made and actually has a 6pt nut on the end that attaches to the wall so you can get it sufficiently tight. It advises in the directions, clear as day that the mounting should be spaced 30" apart, but it's deceiving, that is the overall height measurement from the very top to the very bottom of the assembled unit that attaches to the wall. Once you start looking further into the direction sheet, and look at the technical drawings on the bottom of the page, you will find that the mounting holes need to be 28 3/4" apart on center, NOT 30"! I can totally see some "happy homeowner" trying to install this as an upgrade and ending up with a big old extra hole in their shower wall.
