The Vampire Chronicles Collection, Volume 1(Cover may vary)

The cover is absolutely gorgeous. The whole book is a terat! The stories themselves will take you to a new world. The descriptions are wrought, wet, and compelling and the stories of the characters are breathtaking. A must-read for vampire fans, and fantasy fans in general.

Really enjoyed these three books immensely! I love the lore building of the world of Anne Rice. I highly recommend!

Loved reading this again!! Except Queen Of The Damned. This was the first time I read this. Great book! A little anticlimactic, but the ending was good.

This is my 3rd or 4th time reading The Vampire Chronicles. The last time was at least 15 years ago and time has a way of changing things. Vampires are everywhere now but Anne's version is still one of the best. Anne's writing is intelligent, complex, historic, romantic and far above that of most of here colleague's. While I remembered loving Interview with a Vampire I forgot that it was actually The Vampire Lestat that I loved and overshadowed Interview. Interview was just soooo whiney and makes Edward (or so I've heard) see butch. That said, in order to love Lestat, you must read Interview and unlike many, I equally enjoyed Queen of the Damned. When reading Chronicles, you not only get a good vampire story and history, you get a more realistic telling of history than you do in most movies or even in history classes. The books hold up well considering they revolve around Lestat's rebirth in the early 80's. One star off for a really whiney Louis.

I LOVE anything vampires, but that mostly is because of Anne Rice and Stephen King. Anne Rice has written 18 or 19 books (fiction of course) and I think they are amazing!! I believe that I have read Interview with a Vampire so many times that I haven't been able to count them. Anne Rice loves her vampire Lestat. I am not of the same opinion but he's Vampire enough for me to keep going!! What a SUCKER!!! LOL. I read with a bowl of popcorn and ice water. My dog by my side and our other two with my beloved hubby while he is reading about the Navy. Safe at home!! Enjoy a VERY GOOD read. Read this book. If you love vampires, you'll fall more in love. I am curious which one you'll love more Lesat, or Louie. Pretty sure I spelt that wrong. Popcorn stuck in my teeth.

I can't help but think The Brat Prince would approve of this edition. Having all three books together is so wonderful, so you can just read one into the other into the other. The text is a good size. The cover is gorgeous. It is very well made and feels nice in your hands while you read. Heavy, but very nice. The gold trim on the pages looks refined. It has an attached ribbon bookmark as well that is very convenient.

故アリーヤのファンで、そのつながりで「クイーン・オブ・ザ・ヴァンパイア」を見て、そこからさて、原書ってどうなってるんだろ？っという素朴な疑問から本書を手にしたわけだが、三作入ってお得だからこりゃいいわ！っと買ってから1ヶ月、ようやく今になって「第一作」を読み終えた、、、。面白かったんだけど、夜に数ページづつよろよろと読み続けるのは正直しんどい（笑）。時間がある人＆英語力がふんだんにある人にはとてもお買い得だと思う。あ、内容に触れてないや、、、

Arrived on time and in perfect condition. This is beautiful and has helped continue my wish for a complete hardcover Anne Rice (Roquelaure/Rampling) collection. The VALUE FOR MONEY is unbelievable! It has golden gilt-edging on thick pages, both inside and outside covers have a rich sheen, and the inside cover reminds me of wallpaper I have imagined in some of Anne's novels. The three novels are clearly delineated. If you have never read the books, DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR and dive into a world that stretches from ancient Egypt to modern society as Anne vividly paints the lives of her characters mixing truth, myth and legend across millennia.

Anmerkung zu Beginn: Bei meinem Kauf gab es keine Inhalts- bzw. Artikelbeschreibung. Zu dem Inhalt sage ich nichts, fast jeder kennt die Geschichten und über Geschmack lässt sich bekanntlich nicht streiten. Ich möchte nur anmerken, dass die von mir gekaufte Edition (The Vampire Chronicles - Prop - B&N (Proprietary Leatherbound)) nicht die kompletten Chroniken beinhaltet. Es sind lediglich die ersten drei Geschichten abgedruckt, die restlichen sieben fehlen. Jetzt mag man fragen was man für 7,99€ erwartet? Eben drum 5 Sterne. Allein die Schriftgröße der ersten Geschichte ist so groß, dass man - wenn man sie den anderen beiden Geschichten angepasst hätte - vielleicht noch Teil IV hätte abdrucken können. Noch ein Hinweis: Das B&N in der Überschrift lässt darauf schließen, dass das Buch bei dem Verlag "Barnes & Nobles" erschienen ist und somit zu den anderen Leatherbound-Editions gehören könnte. Dem ist nicht so. Das Buch wurde von dem Verlag "Alfred A. Knopf" herausgegeben. Nun weiß ich nicht ob beide New Yorker Verläge irgendwie zusammengehören, aber die Qualität ist ähnlich und das Format der Bücher ist das gleiche.

Estoy enamorada de esta edición, el libro llegó en excelente estado, es pesado y un Poco incómodo pero lo bonito que es lo compensa todo, tiene una que otra falta de ortografía pero vamos, no me molesta en absoluto, sin duda alguna un must en tu colección de literatura vampirica
