It’s a rectangular piece of strong rubber like stuff, so can have multiple uses I suppose. Plus it’s obviously non slip.

This large black rubbery mat serves two purposes. First, it is advertised to be used under your coffee machine, to protect the under-lying surface from drips. Second, it can also be a drying mat for whatever is damp or wet in your kitchen, be it crockery, pans or even rinsed vegetables. I do not possess a coffee machine. (One less complication, and a great space-saver in my kitchen!) A humble cafetière suits me well, though for many years I was happy to make excellent coffee in a heavy saucepan. However I do often need somewhere to stow wet items. The difficulty is to find a space to install this rather large mat. I may resort to cutting it in half, which should be easy enough with my large kitchen scissors. The mat is not very thick. The drawback will be that I will then have a mat with two nicely rounded corners and two sharp, pointy ones. But will anyone ever notice? Before receiving this mat I was concerned that it might come tightly rolled and never really flatten out. I need not have worried. My mat is now perfectly flat and limp. You have a good choice of five sizes, as well as black or grey. (I chose black, but grey would have suited me as well.) Do check the measurements given on the ad. to choose what will suit your needs and kitchen best. Given the choice I might have gone for the smallest size, which is also the cheapest. You do NOT have Free Returns, so choose carefully!

I have the Ninja cafe luxe coffee machine and the 30x40 mat fits perfectly underneath and looks very neat. It stops the pools of water everywhere when my husband doesn’t bother emptying the drip tray!

I used this mat as a sink drainer protector, ideal for this purpose.
