Love it
The flavor is amazing, it doesn’t have that bitter taste. As soon as you open the package, you smell the goodness, it doesn’t all fit in my container, so I have to leave some in the bag, as soon as I need more, the coffee smells just like when I opened it the first time. That value for your buck is also great to for great coffee. This is our second time ordering.

Great taste
This is the best coffee! I get compliments on the smell and taste, all the time. It is a little pricey but you get a big bulk of it that will typically last 2 to 3 months.

Like the product but...
The description says ground coffee -- as does the picture - but I received whole beans -- I am not happy that I have to grind - not a big deal -- but I prefer already ground -- good flavor though -

Good flavor
Reviewing Highlander Grog: My husband got me hooked on grog when we were first dating to the point that any other coffee just tastes boring. However you just don't come across an inexpensive grog very often and since we drink a lot of coffee I always cringe a little when going to pay. Buying in bulk seemed like a good idea and after some research I settled on Coffee Bean direct. We actually ended up liking the flavor of this one more and this bag lessened our coffee budget by a pretty penny. (OK, like $7-8 by weight but hey, it's a savings!) My only concern is that when I went to buy again the price had actually gone up. I'll continue to keep an eye on the price and buy whenever the price fluctuation comes back down because just writing this review has got my flavor memory yearning to have a cuppa again.

No flavor!
The coffee has little aroma and zero flavor (its just plain coffee). I've ordered this product multiple times over the last two years and its always tasted great. Normally, when you open this you can immediately smell that its Highlander Grog. This time, it barely smelled like anything other than plain coffee and tastes like plain coffee.I'm not sure what happened, but its a waste of money since I can't return it.

Awesome coffee, but beware if ordering with other items
I love this coffee so no concerns about it at all. However, coffee grounds were coming out of the box before I even opened it. Another item that was shipped with it punctured the bag & grounds are spilled all over the inside of the box including onto my other purchases
