Novel puzzle with some repeatability
This rolling ball maze cube puzzle is really interesting because the pieces of the maze move similar to a rubix cube and allow the ball to move in different ways depending on the position. I was expecting this puzzle to be harder than it ended up being. There is a way to align the pieces such that you can reach the end of the maze from the start without moving any additional pieces. This was a little bit of a letdown. But it still offers a unique experience and its complex enough that you could scramble it and come back to it to solve it again. My cube had a small blemish on the plastic on one piece, but it didn't take away much from the overall experience! I liked the different colored pieces.

A nice little brain teaser toy
So, I originally bought this for myself thinking I was gonna take it to the job to play with between calls. Needless to say I didn't. This was honestly bigger than I thought it was gonna be and I also didn't know that it was like a rubix cube to where I can spin and twist it. I don't have time to be figuring all that out, I just gave it to my son and he loves it. It will help occupy your time when you get bored.

Poor design, boring, pretty much useless.
Cool concept but unfortunately poorly executed. There's no strategy to this thing whatsoever, you can literally just wiggle it arpund and the ball will end up at the "end" spot. Now if they had made it so the ball couldn't move whatsoever until you twisted the cubes just the right way to open up a path, that would be awesome, but that's not the case here. There is nothing puzzling or challenging about this whatsoever.

We actually like it. 😁
This has been a hit with our 7 year old. He is intelligent and easily bored in school. He has enjoyed focusing on the Rubiks cube quality of working towards colors lining up. He hasn't minded how easy it is to get the metal ball moving throughout and has focused more on getting the metal ball to balance in certain spots. I did take off one star as it isn't completely smooth if you get the ball part ways through as you're turning sections but it isn't constant. It is what you make it. I have seen several different price points across the platform and do think this has quality construction. We have enjoyed it for travel. It doesnt require batteries or a charger and any focus away from electronics is a win in my book. I use it more for a mindless fidget at my desk.

Smoother mechanism than the larger version, but $6 more for less cube isn't justified
This is essentially the same 3D marble maze puzzle as the larger 3.25" version, but scaled down to 2.7" square with a smoother twist mechanism. The better news: it does twist more easily with less catching. The worse news: it's $19.99 compared to $13.99 for the larger cube, and that price difference makes no sense. There is a coupon right now to get the smaller one at $14.99, which makes it more appealing. The smoother twisting is noticeable and appreciated. Where the larger version catches and resists a bit like a knockoff Rubik's Cube, this one flows better. It's still not premium-level slick, but it's an improvement that makes the puzzle more enjoyable to manipulate. If both versions cost the same, I'd pick this one for the better mechanism. But they don't cost the same. You're paying $6 more for a smaller product with the same challenge level and similar build quality. The only justification I can see is if you specifically need the more compact size, or if you're buying for a younger child with smaller hands who might manage this size better. Speaking of younger kids - the box claims 3+, and I still think that's ambitious. The smaller size might make it physically easier for little hands to hold and turn, but the puzzle difficulty hasn't changed. I wouldn't expect a child under 8 to engage with this as an actual maze challenge. Teens and adults are still the real target audience. At 2.7" this is extremely portable, even more so than the larger version. Pocket-friendly, easy to toss in any bag. The smoother twisting on this smaller version is nice but not worth the premium. Only buy this if you specifically need the more compact size or have a young child where the smaller dimensions would genuinely help with handling.

For the ride
Shipping took sometime, but the packaging and product came undamaged. I am a SPED school bus driver. Some of our riders have a long bus ride to and from school. So my assistant and I pass out "bus toys" for entertainment during the ride. This rolling ball maze cube is perfect for our older students. The hard plastic is durable and has survived multiple drops to the bus floor. It's compact size is great for storage and smaller hands. I feel this cube is a good value and quality product. I will be getting more!!

Overpriced for what it does
This 3D rolling ball maze cube is kind of like a Rubik’s cube combined with a marble run. There’s a metal ball that you place at the start. Then you can rotate the sides, like you would a Rubik’s cube, to connect the next part of the maze that will enable the metal ball to continue on the path you are creating for it. This is not a maze or puzzle with preset paths for you to rotate the entire cube around to figure your way through. This maze cube is more of an active and user-input maze cube because the you can change the path of the maze based on which part you rotate as the next connecting piece. The maze cube itself is a good size for kids’ hands. The pieces of the cube rotate smoothly. However, for the price ($19.99 at the time of writing this review) it seems quite expensive for a small gadget where you create the maze yourself depending on how you rotate the pieces.

3rd Graders Got Bored Quickly
I got this for my 3rd grade students and they got bored pretty quickly. The price is way to high for what you get. Not recommended.
