Better than expected!
I bought these to support my aging inflatable snowman and Father Christmas, they were very easy to use and are of the highest quality. Mechanism tightened and released after being out in all conditions for the month. Will be using on the pop up gazebo in the summer. Comes highly recommended

Robust, effective, very handy for anywhere adjustable guy lines are needed!
I got these to secure a portable fibreglass radio mast I use, which needs tensioned once you have it upright. This is clearly a very quick and easy way of doing it. Each pulley comes with 4m of 4mm paracord attached. It pulls through easily with a positive click from the ratchet, and then won't pull back the way even with a really positive tug applied. The ratchet is fitted with a carabiner for attachment, and each comes with a spare carabiner that can be tied to the other end of the line. It's easy enough to release the ratchet with a small metal lever when you're ready to take things down and pack up. I can see these would also be very handy for rigging a tent or tarp shelter. They seem more than strong enough for these applications, but this is light line and the ratchet has a plastic body so I definitely wouldn't use them for lifting or securing loads (or people!) which is fine as that is not their intended purpose.

Well-made pulley system for tensioning para chord.
This is a good value set of rope tightening ratchet pulley's complete with carabiners. They are a very useful thing to have about the place both for camping and or DIY. I put one of them to immediate use tensioning a fence post that had rotted at the base and needed support to remain upright. The carabiners are strong but obviously not for climbing. There is one at each end which is very convenient. The pulley and ratchet unit is made from powder coated metal and it feels robust. The ratchet system isn't very smooth but it does the job. Releasing the tension and ratchet is by way of a simple latch that needs to be pulled and held up while the rope is pulled back through to loosen off. If you don't have finger nails then you may need a screw driver to do this. It's done in this way to prevent accidental loosening which could be hazardous. On the whole I really like these. They come with quality para chord and I am sure they will be put to use in a variety of contexts in years to come.

I have used parachute cord for years as a quick and handy way to secure loose loads, and secure objects from rolling around in my vehicles. These little dandy’s are even more handy, as the “Ratchets” provide a fast and tight tie- down, without having to invoke your knot tying skills. I now carry a couple of these with me as a permanent resident in my vehicles! Great idea, good product, and easy to use! The Lilliputions could have used these to make short shrift of tying Gulliver down!

I’m always looking for tie-down devices. So when these arrived I took one out and tried it. It seems to work well. Let’s compare it to a ratchet strap. But I did notice that the rope could easily be pulled out of the ratchet and it didn’t look like getting it back in would be any fun at all. So I tied a big double granny knot in the end of the rope on each one. Ratchets in ratchet straps are made to be separated from the strap. Since it’s made of plastic, it’s obviously not meant to be used for real heavy loads. Unlike a ratchet strap, there is no force multiplier effect with this device. Also, straighten the rope so there are no twists in it before you try to pull it through the ratchet. Like you would do with a ratchet strap. Almost any ratchet strap can be released using 2 hands no matter how tight you pull it . Releasing this one involves moving a tiny lever against the full load on the rope. So I wrapped it around a sturdy object and tightened it as much as I could. With just fingers, it was impossible to release. But I stuck my small keychain/pocket knife in under the lever and gently twisted it. It released just fine. So be sure you have your knife in your pocket be sure that tiny lever is accessible. Otherwise you’ll need to cut the rope. Its’ big advantage over a ratchet strap is that quickly hoisting something up or securing it should be much simpler. But don’t try to use it to pull your buddy’s car out of a ditch with it! IF USED PROPERLY, I think it’s a keeper.
