TOMALL100mm 4" Rubber Seal Dust Covers for Fix Light Bulb Conversion Kit

It was hard to guess how these headlight dust caps were going to fit my 2012 Terrain low beam headlights. I wanted to share that the 105 mm size fit my Terrain perfectly. They are a snug enough fit that I do not feel it is necessary to add zip ties or other hardware to make sure the caps stay in place.

I converted a 2011 F-150 OEM halogen housing to LED light (Morimoto 2Stroke 3.0 and DDM Tuning Saber 50W V2). The OEM halogen version has a seal, not a cap, so I need a cap to help protect the LED fan. Unfortunately the LED suppliers do not know the cap size. I measured 85mm diameter OD across the F-150 seal, but the 85mm size cap does not account for any flexing and is simply slides off. However, the 83mm version worked great though and provides a tight seal. Go with 83mm on an OEM halogen 2009-2014 F-150. I believe that’s the same size for the OEM HID cap too.

I recently replaced my 2021 Ford Escape hybrid bulbs for LEDs. I had seen in a forum that someone also recommended changing the Ford rubber caps (see window ledge photo), to provide more room for the airflow from the integral cooling fans in the back of the bulbs. I found these TOMALL 85mm 3.35-inch Rubber Seal Dustproof Covers for LED Headlight Conversion Kit. At $9 a pair, $18 for the vehicle, they seemed reasonably priced..Each pair comes in a very small box and are scrunched up to fit. I had to lay them out in the sunshine to warm up and recover their intended shape. That was about 98% effective. They don’t look as professional as the stock caps, but they are in the engine bay and you don’t really see them!.The fit on the headlamp housing was not as snug as the stock caps. The stock caps are a tight fit and need nothing to hold them in place. The TOMALL are a looser fit, sliding over the outside of the ring on the housing (the stock cap fits inside and outside of that ring) and they need to be clamped to the housing with a cable tie to stay in place and seal the housing from moisture. There are shallow grooves on inside the molding, which would help seal a tighter fitting cap. These maybe reduce the chance of the cap sliding off the ring.Forget the included cable ties. Put them in your toolbox for something else! They are useless for the application, way too small. The kit includes 8 cable ties, i.e. 2 for each cap, but even then, they are too short. 1 Star lost! ☹Ideally you need a large, 14-inch cable tie. I only had some 11-inch ties, so did have to use two and cut off the excess..CONCLUSION:.These essentially do what they are designed to do – seal the housing and provide more space for the forced cooling airflow from the LED bulbs.They don’t look quite as professional as the stock caps, but being black and in an engine bay, you won’t notice them anyway. The untrained eye would never know they weren’t stock.I can recommend these if you fit LED conversion bulbs to your headlamps. 😊

These fit on perfectly on my aftermarket headlamp housings! They worked great, until it rained. Now my lights have moisture inside and fog up :/

Installed on 2015 F-150 with factory halogen headlight assemblies as part of an LED conversion. Stock halogen H11 and 9005 bulbs my truck came with very shallow and used very shallow rubber socket covers. The LED are much larger due to the heatsinks and driver packs they come with. These aftermarket rubber caps fit perfectly and the added space afforded by the very tall domes gives plenty of room for the heatsinks and the drivers. My assemblies are pretty sophisticated design and have lots of dead air space between the individual reflectors and the exterior of the assembly so I am not concerned with heat being trapped. Other wise I would have looked for a rubber seal that sealed around the heatsinks while allowing them to poke though the center for ambient air cooling. Anyway, these are the correct diameter and height for My F-150 reflector style LED bulb conversion.

Needed for LED headlight upgrade. Fit nicely around bulb enclosure and housed the anti-flicker/canbus decoder without any modifications. Came with zip ties but were unnecessary as the fit was snug. LED lights used : NINEO H11 H8 H9 LED Headlight Bulbs , purchased on Amazon.

Bought the 85 mm for my 2015 F150 with OEM halogen bulbs. They are a good fit but would be better if they were 84mm. Fits a touch loose but ok. Reinforced the connection around the dust boot with a zip tie for peace of mind.

Was okay but too big for an Elantra 2012.. recommend the 100mm one and you have to hot glue cut out part of it... Kinda a hassle but best thing would be to mod oem covers.. only reason I gave 3 stars because the price is too high for this item..

21年9月にこのカバーを装着丁度2年経って、LEDヘッドライトのファンもコンパクト化されてきたので、ライトの買い替えをしました。そこで純正カバーへ戻す際に無惨な姿を確認しました。しかし、2年で¥1000位ならコスパは良いでしょう。これから使用される方は、1年毎に確認はした方が良いでしょうね！
