LED Driver, Constant Voltage, 102 W, 12 V, 8.5 A, Constant Voltage, 90 V, 264 V

I had tried four or five other brands of power supply with the same power requirements, but none of them had the quality that a Mean Well power supply can deliver on. This power supply is stable and well-built, doesn’t get overheated and can supply the capacity of current required per the specs. And the best thing of all was that all of the other power supplies had HORRIBLE coil whine, but this one is as silent at full capacity as it is powered off. Thank you for making quality products Mean Well!

There is a reason Meanwell has risen to the top in the world of power supplies. I bought this to power some porch LED strips lights. Originally, the LEDs I was going to use put the load around 6 amps. Somewhere, I changed LEDs and didn't realize the ones I was now using were drawing over 10 amps (producing the same amount of light, half as efficient, sigh). The supply is rated for 12V, 8.3 amps. By the time I discovered this, it had already been supplying power to the LEDs for over a hundred hours with no problems. I do not at all recommend running it that way, but it is good to know it can do more than it is specified for. That impressed me. It does run warm but I do have it on an aluminum heat sink for safety and heat dissipation.

I purchased this power supply to run a 8 foot 4 section plant light I made from aluminum U channel and 2 16 foot LED grow light strips I purchase here. (see my other reviews) The power supplies provided with the led strips fail in less than one month (see that review), and I wanted a longer life long term solution.With this LED power supply you will need to add your own input (plug) and output connectors to connect it to the LED strips. If you are not capable of safely adding the needed connectors and wiring needed for your project this may not be for you as all the connections on this power supply are bare wires and you need to properly wire it.I have an approximate 40 watt load on the supply and it runs a little warm so I have it sitting on a large aluminum heat sink to help dissipate the heat. It is on a timer that runs 16 hours a day. It is still running fine after 1 month (500 on hours) of use.

It works great, probably overkill for my lights but the only thing I would have liked is 4 holes instead of two and a bit more length on the tabs that stick out with the screw holes in it.I had no problems but it would have been better at least for me.Thanks,Jeffery

Couple of our light fixtures we're not working so I bought these ballots to help but I guess the wrong ones they're not working or not compatible

It's a nice, solid block of a power supply. I've been using it for a couple of months for powering Arduino, LED light strips, etc. Continues to function well.
