**Q: Why do the mug leak**
A: they do not, steaming is a natural process of clay

**Q: I previously order these and they have a very strong smell. What can I do about the smell? Also, do they contain led?**
A: Mine did not have a smell so I can’t help with that and out earlier research promised no lead.

**Q: Are they glazed on the inside?**
A: No and not on the outside either.  If you are looking for any kind of glazing or smooth texture these are not for you.  Kind of gritty...  not what i expected.

**Q: Ok to drink out of? Am I supposed to coat? Machine washable?**
A: I've ordered fancy party straws to go with them. They could use a glaze. They are recommended for consumption, but your lips kinda stick to the rough clay! I wouldn't run them through the dishwasher.
