I ordered both this foot rest and the Humanscale FM 300 to test out. Both are well made, however this model (F500K) gently presses you back in your seat for good posture. An ergonomic expert, who happened to recommend this footrest, told me that ironically the best ergo chair is often times a standard one with armrests and good lumbar as we should be sitting back vs forward...a lot of backless ergo chairs foster or can't prevent cheating with bad posture. This footrest naturally puts you back in your seat and has an absolutely smooth and quiet rocking motion. The FM 300 was well constructed, however you hear the rocking noise back and forth. It's not cheap, but well worth it!

I use it at home and at my desk at work without shoes. It helps move my joints and gives nerve issues a nice glide.

I have tried multiple foot rests and they just seemed to make it more difficult to work. Humanscale is incredible. Light and flexible enough for your feet to really rest. I bought it because a co-worker recommended it, and I could not be happier. If you need to have support for your feet (either while sitting or standing), this is, by far, the best product you can purchase. A little bit more than I was expecting to pay, but definitely worth the money.

This moves around way too much on a bare floor. I bought this one for my house since I used the same model at work. But after struggling to find the best position to sit at my desk with it at home, I realize the difference is bare floor vs. rug. My rug at work helps with grip and traction. But on bare floor at home, it slides around and tilts so frequently (with the slightest shift in my seat or movement of my feet) that I end up spending an annoyingly amount of time trying to find a comfortable position in my desk chair while trying to use it. Lovely to look at but not the best for ease of use.

Have been using this foot stool for a couple weeks now and benefiting from the design and functionality. Highly recommend it for reducing leg cramping while you sit at a desk and work.

Wow! It pushes my back and keeps me maintain right posture!! I don't need to consciously care about the posture anymore :)

The wood along the sides is beginning to come off from general use. I wear ordinary running shoes and the sides are several feet away from coming into contact with my desk.

For $99 I thought I would enjoy this thing more. I find it kind of irritating to use for long periods of time so I use it intermittently.
