I used this as a deep freezer temp reader and also for my chicken brooder because the paper thermometers aren’t good at all. This saved my baby chicks from dying

The unit itself is well designed and easy to program. The only things I would improve is the setup routines displaywhat action your are adjusting, these modes are difficult to read because they are very small for older eyes,the other item is if the alarm is for a freezer only the alarm could be a decibel or two louder depending where you located your freezer. Our one freezer is in the basement of a 3500 square foot home and it is audible but nearly muted.If you have a freezer in a garage you may not hear it at all inside your home.The alarm is not continuous, it sounds for about 5 seconds and then goes silent for 60 seconds and then repeats again then repeatedly cycles over again.Again you might not detect the alarm if you are moving out of range of the freezer between the repeated alarm such as a garage. This is a minor inconvenience when considering the price of the unit. as once you adjust your settings you dont use the display other then looking at the current temperature which is easy to read, and your freezer would stay below freezing for at least 24 hours which should allow you to be alerted during that time. For your kitchen refrigerator this unit is perfect

This is perfect for letting grandkids know freezer left ajar after getting treats. It is self-correcting. The alarm sounds and they scoot to shut the door. It also helps the grownups too when there is kitchen chaos and folks are distracted. This is my second purchase of this alarm. Have one on basement freezer too. For the price I am satisfied.

This one did not work as it should. Could not get it to stop alarming. Had 3 different people try "programming" it, including myself, a retired engineer. Returned it. Got another which works near flawlessly, except for accuracy in temperature. My last, which I loved, lasted nearly a decade, damaged by taking things in/out of the deep freeze.

Not what I wanted, was looking for something with and alarm and either I can't figure it out or it doesn't have on , or instructions for that matter

This thermometer works well from a reading standpoint. My biggest gripe was that the cord attached to the probe would cause our refrigerator door seal to be open enough to let excess condensation into the fridge.This may work better on certain applications but for ours it read well but caused other issues.

Easy to use - seems quite accurate for temp measurements as other have advised - good battery life - very clear display. A range of uses from fridge and freezer, car A/C, a dead handy gadget.
