This product is imported from Spain but does not specify the exact country of origin of the seaweed. It just gives a list of possible country sources. There is a BIG difference in the safety of seaweed from different parts of the world. Between radiation and heavy metals which can occur in seaweed, we could all be getting sick from our food. I am looking for seaweed derived from New Zealand seaweed which has the cleanest waters but the process of finding it, is daunting. I purchased this, but am considering not using it . The container does not specify the seaweed source.
