A little outdated but good.
I will say this book helped me so much and really taught me how to approach the PA school interview professionally. However, I also read Savannah Perry's interview book and found that it was a little more up to date. It teaches you how to be a bit more personal in your interviews, which is important as schools are getting more and more applicants and you do not want to sound so much like a robot. If I were you, I would read both books and find a balance between them. You will kill your interview. I got into my top school! Good luck everyone.

Way too many typos
This book has some pretty decent content that has helped me prepare for interviewing. However, from the very beginning I noticed so many spelling errors and grammatical errors. He has used “here” instead of “hear” multiple times, etc. The author stresses the importance of preparing yourself to be the “perfect applicant”, yet he can’t find the time to spell-check his own book? Not to mention, this is the second edition. As a pre-PA student who has focused so much on perfecting my personal statement and secondary applications, it is frustrating to try and focus on the content when I keep finding typos.

Worth it!
This book is the best I’ve come across for interview prep. I received an offer of admission from first interview and definitely feel this book contributed to that!

Pretty good
Last year I didn't have the book struck out 0/3 on interviews. This year I am 1/1. I don't know if it was definitively the book that gave me an advantage but I did use it and I did get results. I think it offered me a different perspective on the interview process and the methods in this book seem to be effective.

Very helpful
This book was so helpful with me prepping for my PA school interviews! There's tons of common interview questions in there to work through as well as dos and don'ts for PA interviews. I highly recommend this book to all students preparing for their PA interview!

Better Options Elsewhere
Compared to a PA School interview book I had previously purchased, this was not worth it. It is okay at giving you sample questions and explaining how you could generally approach them, but it has typos, it is printed poorly, and it's very repetitive. If this is the only book you buy then I'm sure it's fine, but there are better alternatives out there.

Worth it imo
This has some good stuff in it that was useful to me for my interview. It did prepare me and it gave me an idea of what kinds of questions to expect.

It really helped me!
The examples really help you understand how to answer the different types of questions- traditional, behavioral, ethical etc. I only wish they had a section on problem-solving types of questions because, that threw me off at the interview.
