Perfect Brush!
Used on my German shepherd (90 pounds) and worked flawlessly! All the other brushes I used got little to nothing off of her but she was still shedding. I used this and after half an hour she was significantly thinner-looking and seemed a lot more comfortable. This was easy to use and pretty much hassle-free and worked perfectly to remove all the undercoat issues that other traditional brushes can’t get to. The design is perfect and is very durable. You gotta be gentle the first few brushes though because it tends to tangle if your dog has a lot of dead fur. But it gets it all out!!

Worth Every Penny!
My longhaired ragdoll cats are prone to matting, even with regular brushing. This easily and painlessly removed several severe mats that were matted close to the skin and saved my cats from needing to get shaved. The deshedding side of the comb works amazingly too and removed handfuls of loose hair.

Excellent tool
This is an excellent tool to groom My 2 cats they really like it and all the matted clumps on one cat were removed though other cat had no matted fur. This tool is not inexpensive but worth every penny paid. Due to design and stainless steel material I believe it will be very durable.

Very good but be careful
Every swipe removed large amounts of fur before long the cat was starting balding or thinning out also whare the mated clumps where the grooming tool pulled out all of the fur leaving the cat very upset it looked like someone shaved it i’m saying be very careful and delicate and sensitive with this device. It’s extremely proficient at removing hair.

This tool works great!!!
This dematting comb is amazing! My pup hates being brushed and started getting mats. We were able to get all the mats out of his fur.

Does not actually cut the fur.
We have five kitties and only one is long haired but he gets knots something awful. So we looked for a mat cutting comb and this one seemed to be a good option. First, it is large. That's not necessarily a bad thing because, unless you have small hands, it's very easy to hold. The grip is made of a mushy gel inside covered by a translucent outside for a somewhat custom feel when you grip it. Your individual fingers will each tend to kind of form their own space on the handle each time you grip it. Once you let go, the grip returns to its original dimensions. Now I don't want to give you the impression that your fingers/hand will totally sink into the handle because thats not what happens. It just somewhat forms to your hand and returns to original shape each time. The only issue I have and the reason for not giving it more stars is that it doesn't actually cut the fur. You have two sides to the comb to choose from depending on what you're trying to accomplish and how long your kitty's fur is (or how matted kitties fur is). One side has the teeth further apart and seems to work better on longer fur and dense mats. The other side has the teeth noticeably closer together and seems to work better on shorter fur and/or on less dense mats. I also use it on mats that have been mostly worked out using the side with the teeth further apart but still need some combing to get fully out.Looking at the side if the teeth, it would appear that they tried to somewhat sharpen the inner curve to give them a cutting action but I've run my fingers inside of the curve ( I don't suggest you do this) and haven't felt any sharpness to speak of. Plus the mats that I've combed with either side don't come off like they've been cut, they get worked out through many strokes of the comb. I would prefer that the mats actually be cut because our kitty only sits still for.so.long as you gently try to pull the comb through his mats. I use short strokes with an upward motion starting at about 2 inches from the mat and work it out from the edge of the mat towards the inner/more dense portion. Since it combs through the mat instead of just cutting it, kitty only tolerates it for a little while. If you don't need to constantly cut mats off of a long/dense furred kitty, this is a very well built, sturdy, comfortable, large comb that will last you nine lives. (See what I did there?) If you are looking to cut mats off of your kitty and not comb them out, you may want to look elsewhere.

OUTSTANDING PURCHASE AND WORKS EXACTLY AS IT SAYS!!
I have a cat that stays outdoors as I'm allergic to cats. She's a long haired cat, and was rarely groomed. She was full of mats pulling on her skin with her winter coat and the mats were too close to her skin for scissors. I purchased this GoPets Detangler/Dematter and it is OUTSTANDING!! I was absolutely AMAZED! It's worth every penny and made the task SO EASY!! Thank you for such a great product that really does work like it says and my happy cat thanks you too!! You're AWESOME!!
