Improves self feeding & reduces need for prompting
these absolutely live up to the claims. Handles are comfortable and fit nicely in the hand, they're weighted nicely for function and are adjustable for the needs of the person using them. The red color actually did improve self-feeding without prompting, helping with the "visual missing" commonly found with dementia patients; our loved one could see them without effort, which was one less challenge at meal times. Would love to find this quality at a more affordable price - a full day's supply without washing between meals would run about $75 - but for now, we'll take the wonderful help without too much complaint.

Nice and sturdy.
These are perfect. The handles are comfortable to hold but not soft. They hold their shape. I was afraid when I ordered them that the bendable part would be so flimsey. I was wrong and they are very sturdy. I wish the spoon was a little smaller but I believe that my mom will get used to it. Especially since I bent it a little for her.

Don’t buy these
We had such high hopes for this product. However washing it for the very first use discolored them and left an odd film on them which we have not been able to get to go away. My mother who suffers with dementia and hand mobility had a hard time grasping them and use them as you’re so big. Wish we could return them but it’s past that time frame already. There are better products out there. Also there is no range of motion on these even though the description says there is.

Could have a flaw.
Did what I wanted but after many uses it gets loose and the metal slides out of the handle. Not good when you have a spoon full of Black Eyed Peas.

Provides control and security when eating.
I bought this set for my father who has stage 4 Parkinson and he was so happy. We were able to change the angle of the spoon and fork which help him eating without accidents.
