Vitamix Two Speed Blender, Professional-Grade, 64oz. Container, Red (Renewed)

The reconditioned blender is a great value. I have not noticed any issues - it works like a brand-new piece of equipment. I don't know how a brand-new blender would be different - this one works great and looks brand-new. This model has the high-low switch (not the 10-speed). I have used both speeds or a combination of speeds. It has worked for me, I don't see the need for a 10-speed blender.I've used it for a lot of heavy-duty jobs without a problem. The clean up is very easy - put in soap and water, blend for 30 seconds. I would recommend this to anyone. So far, I've made: smoothies, ice cream and sauces. Any ice cubes get totally crushed/blended - no random chunks left. Smoothies are perfectly smooth, ice creams are delicious and creamy, sauces without lumps.The base is larger then some other models of blender (i.e. will take up more counter space), but the tradeoff for functionality is worth it.

I was in years of denial before buying this Vitamix 2 speed blender, thinking my Waring MegaMix (great name though!) held a candle to the Vitamix. The Waring made great smoothies and was plenty powerful, but loud and had a fundamental design flaw which leads to leaks. After two replacements of the entire pitcher and one rebuild with new factory parts I gave up and bought the Vitamix.This is sold as refurbished, but is indistinguishable from new. It comes with an extensive recipe book and a factory warranty. It is supremely powerful and relatively quiet, beautifully and thoughtfully designed, and built to last. My only regret is not buying it sooner. To quote Ferris Bueller "It is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up." The Ferrari of blenders!

Bought this for my girlfriend for her birthday. Replaced a Kitchen Aid. We cook constantly so I get to use it as well. You'd have to be out of your mind to buy a new machine, the reconditioned model is flawless and has a 5 year warranty. I've never used a blender that can pulverize strawberry seeds until this morning. The experience is exactly as rewarding as it sounds. The container is excellent and cleaning it is very easy. The blades are in a totally different league from the blades in the Kitchen Aid. The only negative to the two speed is that it has a tendency to bind up in an air bubble when you move from low to high speeds. Take the container off the base and shake the air bubble out. The way I see it, it's not worth another 100 dollars for the adjustable speed machines if you follow directions and know what you're doing.

Second one after first didnt work properly. This one just as bad.. "Refurbished" is a strong word, I would call it "broken" or "defective". It wont even make a smoothie out of berries without the blender part getting stuck and doing nothing. It is as if it is stripped or something. Wish I could get a refund but although they word as if it will be guaranteed and backed up by the co., they refuse-seems like pumping out crappy second rate broken products with no recourse for the customer to me.

There is absolutely no comparison between the Vitamix and any other blender. This thing is amazing. I had the Ninja before and it would make smoothies pretty good but it was always a little chunky and clumpy. The Vitamix pulverizes anything you put in there!! It's like restaurant quality smoothies. After having the Vitamix there is no way I could ever go back to a regular blender. In fact, I travel with it, when I go out of town I take it with me because other blenders just dont even come close.I got the refurbished one and it works perfect and is exactly the same, I highly recommend it if you want to save a couple hundred bucks.If you're on the fence between a regular blender or a Vitamix GET THE VITAMIX!!!!! You will not regret it. SO worth the extra couple hundred!!!!!!

Great blender, does the blending, and does it well. Kind of wish I had opted for the more expensive model with more speed/power options. This has low or high, and the low is pretty high, it's more like medium or high. Also, getting the good stuff from the bottom of the blender is difficult, have to spend a while scraping around the blades to get everything out (like hummus). Will leak from the lid if you make nut milk in a high volume (lots of foam), sort of confused why they didn't make a better leak-proof lid that sealed even under pressure. All in all a huge life improvement for me especially as a vegan. I can now make my own nut milk and butter, smoothies for days, cashew cheez, dressings made from tofu or avocado, sauces for pasta or pizza...I use it almost everyday.
