It actually is the Ultimate Meal!
I have been using this product in all of it's evolutions for almost 20 years. That should speak for itself. No ingredient list (and I mean none!) can compare to this. I heard the guy who makes this product speak at the Whole Life Expo way back when and I have been buying it ever since. He tests all of the ingredients he buys and will send a batch of spiralina or anything else back if it is not up to his specifications.I originally bought it from him direct, then at Whole Foods, and now Amazon. I am 59 years old, in no pain at all, and am very healthy. I can't attribute it all to this product but it is an important piece of my healthy lifestyle. Many of my friends don't like the taste so they don't use it. I make a smoothie every morning with an apple, banana, berries, peach, nectarine, etc. I don't put all of them in but vary them to vary the taste. I buy all of my berries (I bought 50 pounds of blueberries this year) and stone fruits at the farmers market in the Summer and freeze them so that I have enough until the next Summer. Sometimes I add yogurt or Kifir. I think my drinks taste amazing.Good luck with your health.Michael

Great nutrients, bad taste
I bought this because of the high nutrients, protein and veggies that are organic. I was hoping to use it as a meal replacement a few times a week; however, I just couldn't get past the consistency or the taste. It creates a very thick, nasty ooze. It doesn't smell bad, but it doesn't smell good either. It doesn't taste very good, either. It's hard to describe. It kind of tastes and looks like what I'd imagine fish food to taste like if it were ground up and put in a drink.I tried mixing it with water and almond milk. The water was not advised and created a non-homogenous mixture. The almond milk was too thick--I almost needed a spoon. I also experimented with using less than the recommended mixture and it didn't really help. Some people say that you get used to the taste because it's so nutritious, but I just couldn't bring myself to drink it more than twice!

but not great. Requiring taste and smell
It is ok, but not great. Requiring taste and smell, which can go away if I add some fruits and cinnamon, but my stomach does not react to well on this product either, feel bloated and not very regular after having it for a week every morning . Ingredients are great but just didn't work for me...

Who Really Knows
After basically having "Ultimate Meal" for breakfast for about 3 months (3rd can) my general conclusion is who knows if there is a real benefit, I know it hasn't been a negative, I haven't been ill, but I'm healthy and fit anyway - so, is it like penicillin to a zombie (can't hurt)? BTW I'm 72yrs old and somewhat of a skeptic .

Best I could find
This product provides relief from the food cravings I have experienced for years. Once daily (usually at breakfast with toast made from a nutritious bread), I use one scoop in one and one half cups of plain, unsweetened almond milk and add it to a plastic "shaker" bottle with steel shaker ball to mix well. The taste is easily tolerable, especially when taken with a slice of nutritious toast, and the nutritional benefits from the "shake" are obvious. It took me a while to realize that with age we simply aren't able to absorb the nutrients from the usual "table foods" that we could when we were very young (and our foods these days are not as nutritious anyway for many reasons) and this "Ultimate Meal", for me, provides the necessary nutrients missing in my usual meals. I felt the difference within a couple of days. I now consider this a "staple" item.

The ingredients looked great on line
The ingredients looked great on line. I did not see that it was sweetened. Which is a shame. U r buying this because u are health conscious. If I want it sweetened I would put a banana some thing natural. I don't use it.
