Jungle Master JM-030C Machete Blade, 25-Inch

I bought this from a shop near me for $20 and after having used it for about 5 months I still love it. there are some things you may want to do when you get one: take the lanyard off and replace it with some para-cord of your choice and [I highly suggest] put a wrap on the handle, because the pyramid shaped bumps can be a little abrasive on the palm. The edge retention is great! It was very sharp when i bought it. For my initial tests I used it to chop through 5 inch thick cedar limbs and not a ding, yeah the finish is showing wear but that was expected, still really sharp. I definitely suggest this to anyone!

I have not had a chance to pummel some trees with it yet but if 1st impressions are anything then I am not hopeful. When it arrived it had a broken strap that holds the machete in the sheath.

Some blades are great and some are not. some come with nicks and some break on the first strike into a softwood. This handle is better than some of the others that they offers. Overall it would do well in high brush but not for much else.
