Fantastic dishwasher safe non-stick pan
Updated review 11-29-17: The newest version of this pan has given me reason to re-write my entire review and I can now highly recommend it! The reason I was interested in this pan is because I wanted an every-day non-stick frying pan that could go into the dishwasher, and one that didn't have any harmful chemicals in the non-stick coating. That is very difficult to find! I initially tried this pan a few years ago and although I was happy with its performance, the non-stick coating would separate from the pan after a short time. Frieling actually listened to my issues and worked with me to replace the pan, and they recently sent me the newest version to try. It appears they have completely resolved the issue of the coating separating from the pan. As for performance, I am really pleased with the pan - it fries up burgers, fried eggs, sauteed veggies, etc., and then goes straight into the dishwasher. I believe you can use metal utensils in the pan because of the stainless steel being raised up higher than the non-stick coating; however, I still use only silicone in the pan to keep it in its best condition. The non-stick performance is excellent; however, don't expect it to work like a traditional non-stick pan. Because of the stainless steel, you need to make sure you have at least a light coating of oil or fat in the pan for your food not to stick. If you will be disappointed because you can't put an egg in a dry pan and have it slide out, then this isn't the pan for you. But I haven't had any issues with food sticking as long as I use oil or fat, and it is certainly much better than an all stainless pan. The folks are Frieling couldn't be any nicer or more helpful; they genuinely care about their customers' happiness, which seems rare these days, and they definitely stand behind their warranty! I attached some photos of some beautiful fried eggs, and some smashed potatoes - microwave baby potatoes until tender; smash and fry in your pan with ghee (or your fat of choice), add sea salt and fry until crispy on outside - so yummy!

Top Notch Cookware - Highly Recommend
I learned about the Black Cube brand from a professional chef who swears by it. I bought this pan and love it - the heat distribution is excellent and you can use any cooking utensil you like (metal, wood, etc) nothing scratches or harms the cooking surface. It’s not-stick and the clean-up is super easy. I like the brand so much I bought their Dutch oven.

Easy to clean
My new favorite pan. Easy to clean. Not as non-stick as I thought it'd be. Hand wash if using pods

non stick does not work. eggs and other food stick to it. very disappointed!
This was to be a great pan, non stick, healthy as well. But I am so disappointed since the pan is not NON-STICK. On the contrary, it sticks terribly. I am sorry that I purchased it.

Indestructible
Compared to regular nonstick pans these are not as slippery but they are also much more durable. Regular non stick pans usually bring the non stick surface right up to the edge and over time that upper edge starts to break down and then you wonder, is it safe to continue using this pan with stuff flaking off into my food? This pan has a metal edge at the top and in my use to date (6 months to a year) nothing is flaking or breaking up. I love that! I have 4 of these pans because I have multiple dogs that eat a type of frozen food that I have to defrost and warm up several times a day and I don't want to hand wash all those pans all day long. (I also use the pans for human food because the grade of dog food I'm using is human quality.) If the food sticks in these pans I soak them in the sink for a bit and then I put them straight into the dishwasher and they usually come out spotless. Are these pans the end all and be all? No, but they are very good and I would recommend them to my friends and relatives. I'm very happy with them and the seller shipped them very quickly and packaged them appropriately. Now: I have an update. After throwing these in the dishwasher repeatedly one of them has started to shed the non stick coating in the tiny grooves below the rim. That doesn't make me happy but it's probably from repeated washing in the dishwasher on the pots and pans cycle. Oh well.

As advertised
So far, incredible value and performance, truly non stick and durable. I see others complaining about the weight, a good cooking pan should be solidly built and heavy to disperse the heat evenly. 5 stars all the way.

worth the hype
Matches the hype of the stainless black cube or hex-pattern cookware, thus making the price quite reasonable. This is like using an iron or stainless steel skillet without worrying about sticking. Made very well with a welded rather than bolted handle. There is a glass top available for sale for this pan from Frieling on Amazon too if desired. I have high hopes than this may be a lifetime purchase Completely disappointed in all of the other cheep, yet expensive, non-stick cookware that is hard pressed to last a year as a non-stick pan even with special spatulas and cooking utensils.

Décevant
Parfait pour les crêpes mais les œufs collent au fond, même avec du beurre ou de l’huile.

Great Pan
The non-stick finish is absolutely amazing - as advertised, I doubt if you would be able to scratch it, even with some really rough handling. It also cleans so easy - haven't had anything stick to it yet. Highly recommended.

Superb Quality and extremely light for it's size
already obvious it is a superior pan from the total lack of food stick & also the ease of cleaning love the handle design with no useless screws too

Imposible to cook an omelette os crepes using this frying pan
The frying pan pas bottom is not leveled, is convex which results in uneven cooking. The middle of the pan always has a higher temperature and burns the food while the sides take a lot longer to warm up. I tried cooking omelette and crepes as well as other dishes that do not involve continuous stirring, which turned out disastrous.
