It has helped reduce landing and takeoff bounce on less than smooth runways. Three things to note: 1) all of the ones I have received have been completely assembled. The picture of the product is deceiving in that there are no other parts provided. 2) it is considerably heavier than stock gear, so balancing for correct CG is important. 3) it is absolutely not suitable for grass fields. The springs and lower gear arm will snag on grass, which will abruptly stop the plane and may cause damage to the gear and/or plane.
