Insta360 Helmet Chin Mount 2.0

Fits very well but the extra string bothered my chin, i just cut them short but overall its very stable and i see a great angle with my camera now!

I want to give it four stars but I won't because it works well. I say I'd like to rate it slightly lower because it messes with the windshield of the helmet fully closing. I ride up to 50 mph on an electric scooter in all types of weather and I need that helmet fully closed when it's 10F and I'm creating a wicket wind chill. It does exactly what it's supposed to do. Nice tight fit and the recorded image was stable. There are some slight fabric flaps left over after tightening it down that I have to braid in amongst themselves to keep from tickling my chin or hanging down out of the helmet and slapping my chin in the wind. These are my only complaints but let's just say that I like it well, enough to use repeatedly.

If you plan on using this for a motorcycle helmet or any type of action sport, don’t. Sure, it’s extremely easy to mount and easy to use but that’s about where the pros end. I mounted my insta 360 x5 with a horizontal mount to this chin mount. All hooked up to my shoei x15 motorcycle helmet. It did a good job but after about an hour of riding I noticed it loosened up a little bit. No big deal right? I went to tighten it and one of the plastic buckles broke. I’m lucky this happened when I wasn’t riding. Do not trust this mount. It’s useless now but I should’ve known this was going to happen judging by the cheap plastic they use for it. Save your money and go buy a real chin mount that doesn’t use cheap material.

Had issues with other mounts such as chinmount’s not sticking out far enough to give the camera enough angle to see the road. This one has been nice and secure and allows for proper angling of my insta360 ace pro. The plastic buckle leaves lot to be desired though, seems like a very likely fail point

Super secure works great on dirtbike helmet and is easy to use

Held very steady with my Insta360, even with the 360 protruding out so far. And I was riding ATVs in the dunes, so it held up to several handlebar hits as well.

No Unfortunately, the mount got in the way of the open and closing mechanism of my modular helmet. I am sure that it would work better on a full face helmet, it just wasn’t for me.

Previously had used insta360 and aftermarket mounts that require tape, those didn’t seem to hold up for too long. This one is perfect, never had to tighten the straps, only thin is that this makes your visor a little harder to open and close, besides that I would recommend this 100%
