I only wish the unit were less expensive, as well as the replacement electrodes (that last one to three seasons). For me salt water devices are not the answer as they simply make chlorine pools side and can be expensive for additional chemicals and replacement anodes. The salt water can be hard on older pools not designed for the corrosive salt water. I also found out that many municipalities do not allow sate water to be flushed into their storm sewers.I have tried 3 copper / silver devises on my pool. The first was expensive to buy and the replacement anodes also expensive. It also continually raised the Ph level in the pool. The second unit was OK but the supplier was not dependable for replacement anodes.I love the ClearBlue! It is simple to operate, it does reduce chemical costs by about 75%, the manufacturer is stable, helpful and dependable.
