Are the applicators cardboard or sugar cane?

They 100% are not cardboard. I would say sugarcane, they mimic plastic very well and are super comfy to use

What is the box made from? Why not just a cardboard box?

Plastic wrappers and applicators? Are these environmentally friendly? Can you recycle if cleaned?!?!

Our eco-applicators are now made of sugarcane: 95% plant-based, 0% petroleum plastic, 100% recyclable (yes, please rinse first!). Our wrappers were previously BPA-free recyclable plastic, so please recycle if buying before Oct 2019, but moving forward will be compostable plant-film.
