This long, thin cable connects to a Shure SE series in-ear monitor (not included) with an MMCX connector, and to your device with a standard 1/8" TRS plug (even though it only provides mono audio).This is a great solution if you want to be able to hear yourself more naturally while speaking, while speaking with someone else (as an IFB monitor for news / studio production, for video conferencing, podcasting, etc), and avoid having to wear bulky headphones or resort to cheap earbuds, to look more "pro" on camera.The cable can run up the talent's shirt and clip to the back of their shirt or jacket collar. The discreet SE earbud can't be seen (especially if you get the clear plastic version), and the cable has a metal part near the connector to allow you to bend it and form it around your ear. The coiled section allows for some slack between the earbud and the jacket clip. It is just about long enough to attach to a beltpack, but is easily extended with a standard 1/8" TRS cable.If you're looking to go wireless for semi-pro video production / streaming / Zoom calls and enable more freedom of movement, this can work really well paired with a small Bluetooth receiver like the Fiio uBTR for audio from the computer, and then combine with a Rode Wireless Go II setup with a standard clip-on lavalier mic to capture audio from the talent.
