Good book but need descriptive diagrams and narrative to make book entertaining
Book is in good shape. Writer has elaborated concepts well. Only missing thing in Indian books is that no decriptive diagrams there in the book and no narrative to keep children interest in the book. Just concepts description and explainatory question and sample set is not the good way to introduce maths to students. Author and publisher should make books entertaining so that students who are first time being introduced to elementary mathematics may have interest developed in the subject. I expect that publisher and Author should bring books in new perspnscansca w, bxectivcc2z,cc ective. How long the same format will be used. RD sharma is best maths author in India, Now these books should compete at world level.

I bought class 6 and 7. They are both solid. Some say RD Sharma is the "Gold standard" of maths textbook. They are well presented and topics well covered. However, I note that RD Sharma caters more for their local Indian market more than overseas. For instance, currency in the exercises are in Indian rupees. It may be difficult for Australian students to relate to an exercise where it says, "One pencil costs Rs 160 and a box of pencils costs Rs 1,500." Whereas, a box of pencils in Australia costs only a few dollars.
