Great to hold and write with
Got my purchase a week ago..an authentic rotring that lives upto expectations. I recommend the 0.7 mm rather than the 0.5mm since the thickness is just right and the lead doesn't break easily. Try not to drop the pencil nib-first as it is relatively weaker than the rest of the pencil. The inner plastic barrel rattles a bit.

Best looking Mechanical
1. It's the best looking mechanical pencil in this range, barring this model in black. 2. I like that it's heavy, but because of that you can't use it for long writing sessions. 3. The auto led system is better than Pentel but worse than KuruToga. If this helped you make a selection, hit helpful button below.

Fantástico, lapicero de gran calidad, elegante en diseño, pesado, metálico. Incluso la mina que traes es de muy buena calidad.

Precision & Premium Feel
The rOtring 600 feels incredibly solid and well-made. The full-metal body gives it a premium weight without feeling too heavy, and the grip makes it comfortable for longer writing sessions. The 0.7mm lead glides smoothly and is perfect for both note-taking and precise work. Definitely a high-quality mechanical pencil that feels built to last.

Precision instrument which feels and looks clean and industrial
The high end mechanical pencils are slowly making their way into my precision writing instrument collection. When I think about high end mechanical pencil, first thing comes to mind is rOtring. After all they are precision and serious writing instruments and Engineers, architects, and artists all swear by it. There are not many drafting pencils that get discussed more around the internet than the rOtring 600. It is an iconic tool that is made to be enjoyed for life. This is my second rOtring. rOtring 600 features ergonomic hexagonal brass body with a knurled grip and lead grade indicator and is available with a black or silver finish. Overall, construction looks pretty solid. I have opted for silver and I can tell it’s a beauty especially with those iconic red band. Pencil is spectacularly well-balanced and it’s very comfortable to hold and write. Hexagonal body will prevent fall from desk. The mechanism is a standard push top ratchet advance, with a very positive, loud “click” which I like. On the top, the cap comes off to reveal a small eraser, which can be removed to add more lead to the reservoir. The knurling of the grip section feels and looks fantastic, this element is carried through to the top of the pencil with the lead indicator. You can rotate this section around to indicate which grade of lead you have inside the pencil, a really great feature. The clip is pretty solid and strong. Pencil came packaged in minimal black card board sleeve which I appreciate as those fancy boxes are just wastage of resources. It is designed in Germany and assembled in Japan. Overall, I am extremely happy with the pencil. In fact, I believe anybody looking for serious pencil should own rOtring 600. If you need pencil on move and reduce risk of dropping and damaging the tip, go with rOtring 800. Pros: • Gorgeous precision instrument which feels and looks clean and industrial • Solid construction and precise • Very well balanced and comfortable and ergonomic • Strong clip • Lead indicator Cons: • None (can’t’ think of any) Conclusion: Mechanical pencils are very cheap and you can even buy it for less than a dollar. But pencils rOtring 600/800 are beyond just mechanical pencils, they are precision serious writing instruments for Engineers, architects, and artists. If you are still writing or drawing by hands (in the world of computers) do yourself a favor- You deserve better! In fact, I believe anybody looking for serious pencil should own rOtring 600
