DMC Plastic Floss Bobbins, 28/Pkg

If you're like me, you've used the cheap cardstock floss bobbins forever and they work fine, but they're flimsy. They bend, they fold, they give you paper cuts. I decided that I was done slumming it with crappy floss bobbins and invested in these, the Rolls Royce of floss bobbins. Eh, what can I say, they're plastic. They're sturdy and they do the job. I would definitely recommend getting the floss number stickers that DMC sells to use on them, rather than handwriting teensy numbers with a permanent marker. Life's too short, use these plastic bobbins and number stickers. You'll thank me. Oh yeah, these come with rings, too. I don't have a lot of use for them right now, though I could see them being useful for bundling up skeins to store with a larger project. My kids stole two of them so who the heck knows what they've done with them.

Love these so much! They are just the right size for embroidery floss. I love the ring that comes with it to keep the bobbins contained.

I was constantly getting my embroidery thread tangled in knots, and decided to go ahead and buy these floss bobbins. I am glad that I did buy them. Most people who have embroidered for years probably know all the tricks and things to have, but I haven't really done much embroidery yet. I was tickled to see that they actually had these on the market. Yes I am learning slowly. At any rate, I can get one skew on one bobbin and it prevents the floss from becoming knotted or tangled, while keeping me organized as well. I don't think I will continue using the ring though, because it makes it bulky. Plus, when I need a particular color, I have to removed each bobbin to get to that color. I think I will just keep the bobbins in a bin instead.

These bobbins are perfect for storing multiple skeins of floss or other threads. I have quite a few skeins of DMC Floss and each skein fits perfectly on one bobbin. This allows me to keep my floss tidy and organized and find what I want much more easily, which makes cross-stitching much easier and more enjoyable. These are easy to write on, to record the floss number, and the included ring keeps everything in one place. This has definitely made working with cross stitch much easier and much more enjoyable. If you have a lot of floss, I would recommend getting several, as these look like they will hold up much better than the paper bobbins.

I love having a way to organize my thread when working on an embroidery project. This ring was a bit stiff and hard to open/close when I first bought it, but it seems to be getting better with use. I wasn't super impressed with these bobbins: they are much flimsier then other bobbins I have gotten. But I like the ring over all, and would probably purchase again just for the ring...but I'll probably end up tossing the bobbins next time, as I prefer sturdier ones, personally.

Used this for a project that required a gradient of floss colors that needed to be kept in order. The ring is easy to open and close and kept the 10 bobbins I needed in order.

These are ok but the thread doesn't stay tucked into the little slot and easily comes unwound. The cardboard ones I've had in the past were honestly better.
