AmazonBasics Mini DisplayPort (Thunderbolt) to HDMI Adapter - White

This a real review.the product is extremely nice, well build and there has been no problems at all for me.I use a MacBook Air 2015 edition and it perfectly works on my thunderbolt port.you will not have any problem in colour or display.it does also extend sound if u second screen is a TV.All in all it is just perfect and you can rely on amazon basics for its products. never seem to suffer from any problem from amazon basics

- Before purchasing it, make your requirements clear. It's only purpose is to connect thunderbolt port to HDMI cable for relaying video and not sound.- I am using it for connecting MacBook Air 13" (Early 2015) thunderbolt port to DELL S2240L (Full HD) HDMI cable for displaying content from MacBook to DELL monitor.- No reduction in picture or video quality. Working great. With few configurations, I was able to manage closing MacBook display and display video content directly to DELL monitor. In case power cut, then I open MacBook Air and continue working.- An important point to note - MacBook will not display anything to monitor in case it's not connected, by MagSafe adapter, directly to a power outlet. The obvious reason is a MacBook need extra power which it will not use from the inner battery probably for performance point.- You can go for it without hesitation. Simply connect one side to thunderbolt port and another to HDMI cable (connected to monitor). That's it.

Who should buy this?Basically anyone who wants to connect their macbook to a TV, I did read someone bought it for their Windows, But I personally use it for my mac. It's a much more affordable option than the Official Apple adapter, which costs ranging from 2.5K to 4K which is a bit much for your everyday consumer. This is a third party manufactured- Amazon branded adaptor, covered with 1 year warranty, in 3 words- Worth Your Money.How does it work?As described, down to the last pixel. Sound throughput works fine, displays nicely, scales well to 4k(if that is your question, then the adapter supports upto 1080p, but macbook air does not support 4k)Who should not buy this?Anyone who doesn't have a macbook with thunderbolt(1 or above). Good product works well with my MacBook 13” mid 2012 model no issues so far works very well been using it on a daily basis connected to my LG 22” external monitor no issues with connection overall very good Adaptor for MacBook

Excellent product, works perfectly with my MacBook. Connection to HDMI port works like magic without any effort. This was my first time use experience. Hope it lasts for long time. And best part Amazon delivery is getting better day by day - lighting fast at no extra cost and their support staff can coordinate with delivery person to resolve almost any issues. The media could not be loaded. I used for a month. After that Its not working. I purchased this for my apple MacBook Air where my screen was cracked. I have only option by connecting to a external monitor.It worked for a month. After that the screen goes on and off.

Official site of apple mentions Belkin. I couldn't get one. Tried this. It works perfectly. While using it keep your MacBook under charge. The product info is misleading. It's A THUNDERPORT. NOT JUST DISPLAY PORT as mentioned. Build quality is good.

I'm using it for a week now and it does the purpose well. Yet it looks pretty cheap for the price tag. Still I don't think durability should be an issue.

This does the job. I got it because the price was really low and I just needed a simple solution. This worked well.
