Good buy
Book is top notch but the problem is the method used in Indian education system is different as well as the topics are not covered here in these classes . But for knowledge it is priceless

A book that makes you love maths!
I have never been a big fan of maths( or conversely maths has never been big fan of me) but you can't ignore maths in daily life. And i must admit that i have been uncomfortable with maths since childhood but this book makes me comfortable with maths. This book is a boon not only for kids but also for grown ups who have been uneasy with maths during childhood years. If you are uncomfortable with maths...just grab a copy of this book, it will answer 'all' your queries as regards maths in an easy to understand manner. I am happy that I found this book.

Math lifeline!
This is a great resource book for middle schoolers to work independently with or for parents wanting to help their child, but need a refresher of concepts they learned at school. Drawback : This is an American book, so units of measurement font match the metric system ( volume measured in ounces, pints and gallons would be confusing to an Indian audience) certain shapes are also named according to the American system - trapezoid, not trapezium; rectangular prism and not cuboid, etc. Overall, I'm happy I got this.

One can't easily learn a new concept with the briefing in the text.
Price is high. A book of this kind shall be delivered at a price 300 -350. Highly inflated price and hence even after discount we need to pay above 600. Overall it's good for it has a simple presentation style that Children would like. However, the book could just be considered as a reference / quick refresher text. For those who learned a particular topic, the content available is only basic facts in those areas. For those who haven't learned that topic, the brief descriptions givenin many cases is in adequate to learn that topic. In some cases where solutions are given, the problems are just worked out, no explanations how or why done that way dor the solution. As I said early, for those who already learned it, that would be sufficient. Kids may enjoy it, as they might not have such a summary book before. To those who learned a topic, to just refresh or for quick check, its useful. I can't agree that, the book contain everything to ace Mathematics. One can't easily learn a new concept with the briefing in the text. Charging above Rs.300/- for this refresher summary book is not nice.
