The tactics used in the war are told in great details. The maps are very good. But the political background of the war is not adequate. For that other books are to be read. But Liddellhart is the most authentic person for reading about war movements

Liddell Hart's book is an exceptionally graphic coverage of the Second world war and is a must read for any student of Military History. It is a wonderful possession for any home library as a reference material for constant updates.

Liddell Hart is the best military author of modern times
Liddell Hart is the best military author of modern times...and the book is a must read for a clear understanding of conduct of war. he is impartial, giving due credit to who deserve it, Allied as well as Axis Commanders (evident for Field Marshal Rommel) and criticizing even the compatriots like Montgomery, especially for his over cautious approach and boasting of achievements. A comprehensive account of second world war, 910 pages so be cautious! covering from Poland to Far East, Russia to North Africa, Pearl Harbour to Burma.

Not much satisfactory
Book was delivered in good condition by amazon.The book is ok but not much satisfactory.You can buy the book if you wish to have some knowledge regarding the topic.Instead, go for second world war by antony beevor, its an awesome book.

Authentic account of world war 2.
Certainly a valuable source to learn about world war history. Very long account and small font size may be challenging. But perhaps required to cover such significant event in the human history.the author brings tremendous amount of authenticity as an expert. Very trustworthy worthy source for all those who are interested in reality than the exaggeration of a fiction.

One of the best books I have read
One of the best books I have read, per se. Liddell Hart's simple writing style explains a complex era very easily.
