My intention was to use this on rental cars so I can see the Google map while I navigate an unknown city. I like it so much I am using it in my local car as well, so I can see who's calling. It performs perfectly. The grip portion that attaches to the vent is pliable yet strong. The expandable phone grip works perfectly with my iPhone 5 with a case.

Hubby needed this for a convenient, accessible place to hold his phone while in the car. It is perfect and easy to use. No more falling on the floor, sliding between the seat and console, etc. Note: He does not use this to talk on the phone while driving. It's only used to hold the phone securely in place. It does the job perfectly.

LOVE this design, but unfortunately, it doesn't work on my Chevrolet Traverse (or Buick Enclave) as the vent louvers are too deep (or vent surround trim is too proud) to allow the clips to fully engage the louvers. I will use this for travel (it is very compact) with the hopes it will work with most of the rentals cars I get.
